Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the B.Com course covers every aspect of accountancy and mathematics in order to prepare students completely. It is indeed a wholesome course and students would be well prepared if they follow the curriculum well.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities of the college are very good. Students can expect a really good package from a renowned company upon the completion of the course. However, I wish to study further.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure to pursue B.Com at Tufanganj Mahavidyalaya, Cooch Behar is feasible. It costs ?6,310 for a complete three year, full time, on-campus course. This fee is not only affordable but also inexpensive if compared to any other institution.

Campus Life

There are several extracurricular activities being organised by the college throughout the year to create a happy learning environment for the students. I am glad that I could be a part of the organisation of these activities.

The alumni network of the college is too good to be true. They always help the current students in any way possible and make sure that we tread on the right path. Their experiences work as a guide for us.

Admission

I am currently pursuing B.Com from Tufanganj Mahavidyalaya, Cooch Behar and I've to say that the admission procedure was quick and easy. Moreover, it has a feasible fee structure along with supreme quality of education.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
