Course Curriculum Overview

During my batch, the course was not divided into semesters, but one year sessions. The syllabus for my math UG program is well structured and has helped me gain a better understanding of the world of algebra, mathematics and differential equations.

Placement Experience

The college also has several scholarship and placement options. Since the fees are already nominal, the college has no choice of loan. Various companies visit our college and also scholarships are awarded to eligible and underprivileged students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for the BSc program is Rs. ?9,185 for all three years. College is very affordable and the fee structure is good. Our college provides students with financial difficulties an opportunity to fulfill their higher education dreams.

Campus Life

The Student Welfare Committee regularly conducts various cultural, intercollegiate, and personality development classes. The Youth Parliament is the model for organizing and conducting discussions and debates on current issues and political events.

Admission

Admission is based on merit. Our college is affiliated with the University of North Bengal. I applied for the BSc program and filled out all the required details and submitted the form. Thereafter, I was called to the counseling process, where I presented all of those documents.

The faculty were very helpful and supportive. There are only Ph.D. qualified students in our college. Students can ask for and receive help from any faculty member on campus at any time. Due to their supportive nature, it is very good to carry out research work under them.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

To get admission in this college, A candidate has to pass 10+2 from a recognized board conducted by the I.S.C. or C.B.S.E. or any other Board recognized as equivalent by the Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University.
