In short.. Sushil Kar College is the most affordable and best college in West Bengal. If you want to go for competitive examinations and want graduation in affordable price then this college is for you. Undoubtedly you will also get different skills and knowledge from here.

Course Curriculum Overview

I admitted here for bachelor of Arts. The duration of the course is 3 years. The college provided all the facilities to the students. College had a big campus, a huge library with plenty of books & a computer lab with computers. There was an end semester exam at the end of each semester.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities were not too good. As it was art stream there was no company for placement. Most of the students go for the competitive examinations and rest of the students opened their own art galleries.

College Events

Events were the soul of the Sushil Kar College. All the festivals like durga puja celebrated here beautifully. Along with this, fresher for first year students, traditional day and annual functions also celebrated here. Technical events also arranged by the college to improve the student's strengths.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure of the college was too feasible. It was most affordable fees offered by the any college in West Bengal. The college fees was about just 1500-2000 for each year. Different scholarships were also available for talented students.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities were the backbone of the college. Different art exhibitions and galleries arranged frequently in the college to enhance students skills and creativity. All students participated in it and showcase their different skills. Also different technical events and sports activities conducted by the college every year.

Admission

I have an interest in arts since my childhood. Hence I completed my 12th and decided to admit on one of the best college in West Bengal Sushil Kar College. As I am from poor background, this is also most affordable college in my hometown. The admission process was too simple. I just filled an application form and on merit basis I got the admission easily in Sushil Kar College.

The faculty of the college was excellent. They were proficient in every art. They had a great art skills,imagination and creativity. They taught us all these skills in 3 years of our graduation. Faculty was also cooperative and energetic.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
