Remarks
Ramanujan College has one of the best faculties and infrastructure of Delhi University. The locality is also vivid because of Nehru Place Market and numerous food outlets. However, the cafeteria in the college premises is not above expectations. The admission process is based on merit and got closed on 31st August 2020. Ramanujan College is known for the best faculty in the English department, therefore I chose this college for the course. Although I used the newspaper, but the college's website www.rcdu.in would help.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.A. (Hons) English because it provides a wider perspective on the history and development of the world and the ideologies. The faculty:student ratio is 1:5. The faculty is highly experienced and interactive with great communication skills. The exams this year were Open Book. It was easier for those with stable internet connections.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placement in first year only. Companies like Tommy Hilfiger, Decathlon, Hindustan Times make offers to the students of Ramanujan College. I would study further in my course of study.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is very negligible fee hike in Ramanujan College. The cost to study would be around 13000/year. There are a lot of scholarships for every department of Ramanujan College. There also placement cells which help the students get internships and jibs easily.
Campus Life
There are fests like JOSH, RENDEZVOUS, VARNATULIKA conducted every year by different departments and societies of the college. Ramanujan College has a library and reading room. The college also provides the students with an online library. The books and journals are readily available to everyone. The classrooms have smart boards and black boards. The sports department is huge in Ramanujan College. There are different societies run by students for dance, singing, fine arts, dramatics, film making, fashion, environment, women empowerment, etc.
Other Applied Colleges
