Remarks

I attended this college due to my course. The college provides good faculty for Economics Hons in a prime location such as Malviyanagar. Keeping in mind the high percentages that goes for this course, the college is not bad.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Economics Honours is one of the most prestigious course of Delhi University. It is also one of the few subjects which require very high percentage to clear the merit list. Keeping in the mind tha value of course, you should choose the course over college anytime. The faculty is really one of a good points as compared to other things. The teachers are well versed with their knowledge and are eager to teach. Even during online classes they are successful in making you understand all the concepts of the subjects.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

I have rarely come across any internship opportunity even when I am one of the most active student of my class. The internship that I did came across were stipend free.

Placement Experience

1

Students are eligible for placements only in third year. However sometimes you get an opportunity for small internships in lower classes. There is rarely any placement provided by college. Moreover there is no information available to students about the placements and average packages in a year. Most of the students from my course plans to go for Master Degree and then step into either corporate world or in teaching world as college professors.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for Eco Hons is around 5000/- annually. But the campus does not provide many job opportunities. There is rarely any good campus placement. Even the internships opportunities do not seem to be impressive and are stipend free. Although if you are looking to stay in a pg or flat near college, it would be expensive as the college is located in South Delhi which is a expensive. I paid 11000/- monthly for my PG plus other expenses .

Campus Life

1.5

The social life the college is very bad. There are no good fest, no proper functioning societies, library has out dated books but its still good. The classroom infrastructure is not up to the mark. There is no digital class or smart class service. There are no AC classes. There is no ground or court for sports. There are societies like drama and music. There are many social groups run by colleges for LGBTQ students, for women and others.

Hostel Facilities

3

I rented a Pg in malviyanagar. There are very few good Boys Pg around but all of them have high price. I paid 11000 a month plus electricity charges. The location of my pg was in the middle of market, so the location was really good for midnight walks and for grabbing a snack. There is hostel facility provided by colleges.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
