Entrance Preview

I appeared for UPSEAT exam . I got 1500 rank and choose geo informatics branch . I opted for this college because UPES was only good choice I had at that time .

Course Curriculum Overview

It is good and well structured . My branch is geo informatics which is somehow combination of Geology + computers. As we all know there is lot of scope in computer science branch in India.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't been on intership yet , but I will do my intership in coming summers. As far as I have heard my seniors had mixed experience with intership and companies they interned at are some good or less favourable .

Placement Experience

Placements are good . Lots of IT companies visit campus each year and every student has good chance . Every Petroleum engineering branch have very good placement but this year due to crashing of oil market that didn't happen , so they are also aiming for IT companies .

College Events

There is one cultural event in college called Urja every year in odd semester . Frankly , I'm not a fan of fest that much and its quality is going down every year .

Fees and Financial Aid

College as collaborated with various banks for education loan , student can take benefit of that via campus . There is only one scholarship avalible as far as I know based on boards marks .

Campus Life

Campus life is good and crowd is also very good . There are lots of clubs which students can join based on thier interest like sports , debate etc .Gender ratio is fine and there are not lots of parties but few ( maybe) .

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very good and friendly . There is ragging or such bad things around campus or hostels . Alumni are pretty good spread across all over India and abroad .

Exam Structure

Exam structure is good . We have Mid semester exam in extacly mid of every semester and there are practical exam at end of semester followed by end semester exam .

Faculty

All faculties are experienced and well educated . Each department in university has very well structure teaching system , that helps student a lot. They provide good support in projects .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

UPES CSE Program provide the best insights!

No safety nets for getting admission in UPES as university is strict in taking students. UPES Engineering Admission Test also known as UPESAT has to be cleared. UPES is top class!

I applied at GECET of Graphic Era and gave other entrances too. Apart from JEE, I cleared almost all and only one left was that. UPES has the best facilities!

Admission are through an entrance for engineering which is called UPESAT. The best thing is the paper can be given anytime as it's online and if students want they can directly come to the university and then give that exam.
