There is actually no bad highlight about the college, as there are similar problems in almost all colleges of the country but we can say this University is developing day by day and providing best services in education sector to its students.

I have passed UPESEAT exam provided for admissions in B.Tech. programs of UPES. I got a good rank of 1200 in this exam and got many choices of branch during first counselling. If someone gets rank below 500, he or she can get petroleum engineering and other great branches of their choice in counselling. My first choice was of petroleum engineering, but I got Civil engineering which was my second choice.

The course curriculam of the University has been very unique and having world-class standard in terms of technical education. The University puts more pressure on improving the standards of technical and management education. The courses are designed and managed in such a way that students earn good placements and jobs in business organizations and achieve higher education.

My internship experience was excellent. I got internship in a top class company of France, in its Mumbai based office. This experience of 2 months was so great. I could learn many things from there. The University helped a lot in providing internship and getting there, maintaining a good relation with the managers in the company.

Well friends, UPES placements of all the B.Tech and other programs have been good so far. I must say you have made a very wise choice as UPES is one of the best universities of India for the study of core programs. More than 10 companies came to campus for placements in our course and 85% students out of 58 qualified for placements got placed in civil engineering course.

UURJA is the annual cultural youth festival of UPES and as the name suggests, the event is full of vigor and energy of students, faculty, participating individuals from various universities and colleges across India and sponsors from various local and national level organizations. It is an interactive ground for dynamic youth from various universities and colleges from the country.

The fee structure has been a bit expensive in the terms of overall expenditure and other costs involved in living. But its a broad investment for a good future of our young generation in terms of quality education and providing necessary industrial or practical knowledge to work with a large business organization. There are different kind of loan facilities available at the time of admission which one can avail easily.

I could not avail any scholarship at the time of admission to UPES or during my course. But one can avail good scholarship based on merit basis or on the basis of financial conditions during the course-work or at the time of admission.

The university understands the need of students to engage into activities beyond academics. Formation of various Student Clubs is an initiative of UPES aimed towards combining academic learning with non-academic activities and engagements. The purpose of these clubs is to encourage participation, ownership, develop leadership abilities and seek to ensure that students get interactive opportunities to express and build on their interests for all-round personality development. Even, I started Association of Civil Engineers dedicated to all students of Civil Engineering during my second year of course-work.

The hostels have modern messes, serving nutritious and hygienic meals. UPES hostelﾒs provides a positive environment to the students, which contributes to their overall development and make their stay at the university a memorable, productive and joyful journey. The fees is a bit high, but its worth as they provide security within campus and good mess services.

Over 4000 alumnus throughout the world are proud to call themselves Alumni of University of Petroleum & Energy Studies. A website is dedicated to help them keep in touch with fellow alumni and get informed about whatﾒs happening at different areas of interest. It will work on strengthening ties with current students, friends, colleagues and faculty offering an array of events and activities throughout the year.

The exam structure of the University has been very good as it does not put any student under pressure and stress. The exams are divided in two terms along with other routine exercises. The overall exam structure has been very unique and well-maintained.

With its innovative approach, good infrastructure and well qualified faculty, the University is having good rank in the list of leading colleges of India. The course curriculum is great as the courses are so unique that one can not find most of these courses anywhere else. The faculty is experienced and very friendly to the students.
