Remarks

This college is well reputed and famous in south Kolkata for commerce. The teaching faculty for this subject is very good. The location factor is also favourable for me and the fees structure is quite moderate and affordable.

The course which I have chosen has a good demand in the market. The semester system helps students to remain in touch with studies all over the year. The course structure focuses on practical learning with variety of subjects and we have a good exposure.

We have three shifts in our college but we still don't have any placement cell mentioned in the website. Since I'm a first year student, I have a very little to negligible knowledge about placement cell in our college or the average package offered or the companies coming up.

College Events

Our college participated in many cultural programmes. They gives a freshers party to all the upcoming students every year. Inter college competition like song, dance, quiz, debate is conducted by our college and we invites many college. The annual college festival and socials is the best thing we see in our college life.

Campus Life

Our college has a big campus and building consisting of a common room and a sportroom. Wi-fi is enabled in entire college campus with free access for all. College canteen is also there with good quality of food at an affordable rates. We have projectors in our class and it is very helpful.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
