Remarks

Its one of the best colleges for commerce in Kolkata. Its close to my home. Its affordable and economical. The results of this college are good too. I've discussed with my seniors prior to my admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

Yeah the teaching faculties are good enough. But a few of them are not that good and up to the mark to be honest. The teachers are helpful. Specially our HOD is the best. Quite a few of the professors who have taken our class till now are very good teachers. They have an unique way of teaching so that a person can understand. Teachers teach both in English and Bengali language so that its easy for all the students to understand.

Placement Experience

I'm in my first year so I don't know much about placements. What I do know from seniors is that approximately 12 to 15 companies come to recruit the final year students every year which I guess includes Wipro, Tcs, Some renowned banks,etc with a decent pay rate.

College Events

I've experienced only our freshers welcome party till now in my college. Due to this covid-19 pandemic the fest of our college is delayed and cannot be held. Apart from that we had a teacher's day programme in our college as well. The freshers party was exceptional to be honest. Everyone had a lot of fun.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
