This is one of the best commerce colleges in Kolkata. The faculty includes qualified and skilled teachers. Location of the college is also convenient. This college is a favourite among commerce students so the cut off marks to get admission are high resulting in good students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus is based on the syllabus provided by Calcutta University. The faculty is great, with some incredibly qualified teachers who really care about their students. The standard of internal exams are pretty high. I would like to give a shoutout to BBC Sir, Nirupam Sir, and our commerce Head of the Department Jayanta Sir for their excellence in coaching. BBC sir also takes care of the placement in the final year.
Internships Opportunities
I opted for an internship in marketing with mycaptain.in which sells online courses. The stipend was _1500 per month.
Placement Experience
There is a lot of job opportunities. We see companies visit our college for campus placement. I am not sure about the exact percentage but i heard it is great.
College Events
Everyone is welcome in all kinds of events.The Freshers' Event is awesome with participation of seniors and various performances. The college fest is the most enjoyable one where celebrities are invited to perform. Apart from that the college also celebrates Saraswati Puja and Teachers Day in a very passionate way. Excursions are organised every year with good participation. The college provides holiday on many occassions like Foundation Day, on various seminar dates etc which is much more than the actual holiday given in other colleges.
Campus Life
There is a small ground to play cricket, football and basketball. Wifi is good. The canteen is nice and clean with good food. There are two libraries - the Central Library on the top floor which is massive and the Seminar Library on the ground floor where you need to make your library cards.
