Remarks

The college management tries hard to maintain discipline. They are mostly helpful, however, there have been some cases where they have been arrogant and indifferent towards the needs of the students. On a sad note, Dress code is followed very strictly.

Entrance Preview

UPESEAT scored 2512 rank. The score was not declared by the college and only ranks were declared. Other ways are the non exam category which include JEE mains score and/ or board percentage. The college has a decent reputation in addition to proven placement record which motivated me to chose it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is very much industry oriented with special focus on research. The syllabus is updated regularly and special focus is given to the course outcomes which are shared with the students at the beginning of each semester for each and every course. Specialized subjects are introduced beginning from the second year itself which help in understanding advanced concepts.

Internships Opportunities

College does help in providing internships to almost all the students. reputed firms like Reliance industries, Schlumberger, Polaris etc come to the college. The overall experience in great and industry exposure in core companies helps the students grow overall.

Placement Experience

4.5

Around 85% students do get placed in core companies. Almost all the major companies attend the college for placements. The highest packages have touched 34 lpa for petroleum students. The average packages vary differently for various branches. Mechanical and chemical department students get close to 6.5 lpa on an average whereas others get around 4.5 lpa.

College Events

4

Uurja is the sole major cultural event in the campus which I can say is nowhere near any other college. The techfest known as ignite has a few interesting events robot events. Otherwise it is more or less the same every year. The college is pretty much dead in these sort of things. It is very lackluster, to say the least.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is one of the most expensive college to study in. The fees for one semester for an engineering student is over 1.30 lakhs. In the four years a student ends up spending close to 12 lakhs just on fees which is very expensive. The college is one of the most expensive in all of North India.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are limited to 5% students. Only the toppers of each branch are eligible for scholarships which is up to 20% of the tuition fee.Other than that, RISE (Research Initiative for Students of Engineering) is one of the latest initiative to help the students pursue their ideas. The college grants funds to over 50 fifty researches and helps the students to complete them.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio is decent overall. The computer science department has as close as 1:1 ratio. however, some others like Mechanical and civil fall behind for as low as 1:20.Campus is very lively. One can always find something interesting happening inside the campus. There are people from all around the country in almost all the branches. Foreigners are also present in large numbers.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are pretty well furnished. There are limited seats close to 500. All the rooms are triple sharing. Separate tables, chairs, almirahs and beds are provided. the bathrooms are common for one floor which counts to roughly 20 students. Wifi facility is good (media and gaming sites are blocked though). Food is decent.

Alumni/Alumna

This is the best part of the college. The seniors are very helpful. They have great experience. The alumni network is strong and they are ready to help anytime about anything.

Exam Structure

There are no gaps between the exams (both for the mid semesters and the end semesters). We have back to back exams and one must consider himself luck if a weekend falls between the exam dates. Moreover, the exam timings vary from 10-1 and 2-5. The exams days are overall the the toughest days.

Faculty

5

The faculties in the college are helping in nature. The faculties have decent knowledge and they generally assist in all the projects and researches. However, one needs to put in extra effort to talk to the HoD's who are too busy. But once you do, they are more than willing to help you in your pursuit. However, just like any other college there are a few who do not meet up to the expectations. The overall quality of the faculty is above average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
