Remarks

I can say nothing about bad about my college as I am really very satisfied with everything. Like academy, cirriculam, trips and faculty all stood as per my expectations.

Entrance Preview

I did not give any entrance exam to get into this college i got admission on the basis of my 12th board percentage i choose Gargi over any other college in Delhi University because its a renowned college for English literature.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

English literature course in Gargi is a three year course. 40% is the passing percentage for this course teachers in the college are very supportive and are always available to solve all the quaries. Mid week assessgmants are a regular style of teachers to test how the children are performing and to understand how much they are learning.

Internships Opportunities

No gargi itself does not provide any internship but interesting students can look for an internship by themselves and persue it i did my internship at welcome hotel sheraton in pr department.

Placement Experience

2

Gargi provides a BA degree, though it has a placement cell but getting a placement from college is a tough job. Only Google came to gargi during my time and picked just one student from the college you need to pursue for a MA to get a good job and further qualifications for a better job.

College Events

5

Freshers: every year new kids are welcome with a grand freshers party organised by the seniors farewell: every year the 3rd year girls are given farewell by 2nd year students fest: amazing fest happens every year where some celeb singer is invited diwali mela: every diwali this mela is organised in the ground of the college there are many societies in which children can participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Gargi college fees is quite feasible being a government college Delhi university is not an expensive academy. Its rs 4000 only, which has to he submitted yearly. Gargi has a bank inside the college where you need to submit the dd for the money that needs to be submit for the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

During my 1st year I did mass communication crash course which was held and organised by gargi itself. It was a six month course after the competition of my 3rd year i receiver my BA degree.

Campus Life

4.5

Gargi is a girls college so you will not face any gender bias gargi keeps organizing events to keep the enthusiasum of students at its peak Like fest, diwali mela, trips, college societies like dance, singing, play and basket ball there is no politics in the college. Just make good friends enjoy the events and be a great person.

Alumni/Alumna

I pursuer mass communication after passing out from gargi. Before opting for this course i had words with one of my senior and took the feedback. It was really helpful as she explained me really well about the combination of english hons and mass communication for a bright future.

Exam Structure

Exams here are divided into two parts: half yearly: that happens in mid of the year for 25 marks the checking for the same happens within the college. The a lot there teachers do the paper checking yearly exams: it happens at the end of the year and is of 75 marks for the checking the papes go out of the college. Just like board checking final result is plus of the marks for got from 25 and 75.

Admission

After my 12th result, i filled the DU form in which in mentioner my marks, the desired course and the desired college. Every college in DU gives admission on the basis of their cut of list. I got admission in various colleges as I managed to match their required criteria and finaly choose Gragi among all.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
