Sunku Subash's Review On National Institute Of Technology - [NIT] Uttarakhand, Srinagar Garhwal

To get admission into any Nit(National Institute of Technology) first we need to clear JEE MAINS i cleared the JEE Mains with 157 score out of 360 and my AIR is 25777 which is based on 60% weight-age of JEE Mains and 40% weight-age of Intermediate i.e., 12th i have very much interest in Computer Science and for my rank I will get seat in the seven sisters of India and UTTARAKHAND so I opted to come here(Uttarakhand) because it is far more better than the remaining seven.

No, our college not yet started any internships but our college supports students in getting internships by contacting to the company people. They will visit the campus and take any exam required and selected students are supposed to give interview to join the company for internship.

Here we can assure 100% placement for CSE and ECE students and a very few students of other branches companies visited so far are IBM, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DIRECTI, CAPGEMINI, INTELLECT DESIGN, INDIAMART, YODLEE, NEWGEN, COLOURED COW, L AND T, NOKIA, BHEL, CAUSECODE and we are expecting many more the placement cell is improving day by day here the rules for any student is that they can have only two job opportunities and next they will not be permitted to sit for further companies.

Due to the MHRD rules the FEES structure is varying year by year.But for my batch 2013- 2017 tution fee- 17000 mess fee- 14000 security deposit- 1500 electricity and Water - 300 medical - 500 student activities -500 In the above details the mess, electricity and medical expenses are partially refunded after each semester -6 months of period.

Here student can get scholarships if they are of OBC, SC, ST.So far I have never seen a scholar ship for General category and the plus points of the state is the govt. Of uttarakhand gives free scholarships to all of its students studying in NIT or IIT.

Average gender ratio of out college is 20:1 - male female ratio. By this it is very clear that the ratio of girls is very low.. And in each year we can have only a maximum of 300 students - 60 in each branch and total of 5 branches available.And here we don't have any Student diversity and tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. Regarding this issues we have no problem .coming to work shops and debates professors from various Institutes from all over the India come here to conduct . and we have 3-4 such workshops takes place each year.

Coming to hostel section -we have different hosted for different year students and each room there will be 4-8 students that's depend on the size of the room. We can also live outside the hostel and room are available nearby for a reasonable cost. Coming to mess facilities we can have only North food but no south food is available . and outside the campus we van have mess availability of any kind.

Here there is an Anti- ragging squad and there will be no problem for the first year batch they will get protection by the faculty through out their first year.and the seniors here are so friendly that we can get guidance any time any place.

For any semester (a period of 6 months) we have to opt subject varying from 30-52 credits both inclusive .each subject is of 6 credit( 3 classes a week) or 8 credit( having one extra lab or tutorial class ) and coming to the exam Structure we will have: 2 Sessionals- each 15M 2 class tests- each 5M, 1 end term -40M, And Practicals - 20M, Total -100M test. Coming to schedule if classes daily we will have 3-5 classes and 0-2 labs or tutorial session based on the credits taken up.

Here the minimum requirement for faculty is he/she should be an M-tech graduate. And they are very free and good interaction can be done. We can visit dacuty at any time any where with out restriction .here we have only one professor and the remaining are Asst.professors .
