Remarks

No bad remarks as i have the best time during college, the management and staff is extremely supportive and kind. Always come forward in helping students in any which manner they could,be it related to fee, course info or any festival or cultural event related.

Entrance Preview

I gave my 12th cbse board examination and by that results i got admission here. I opted this college because it's a girl's college and i choose history honors as my subject as i have a good interest in it.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is great course as designed by Delhi University comprises basic to complicated texts. Mostly foreign authors books are a part of syllabus. Many of them are noble prize winners. Course curriculum is well structured and analysed as per the course requirements. Our batch is the new to the system of CBCS which is the credit base system. The teachers take their full initiative to fulfi the requirements and expectations of every student.

Internships Opportunities

A lot of companies used to visit our college for recruitments, HCL, WIPRO etc. during year 2002 the stopend offered was quite less compared to what is offered during today's time the stipend offered was 3 lac/annum.

Placement Experience

4

Companies like E value serve, KPMG, Clairvolex and many others comes for placement. We are eligible to participate in placement by delhi University as well. Generally a package of 2-2.5 lakh is offered. HCL, WIPRO, ORION DIALOGUE, Airtel, HUTCH, abn amro bank, yes bank etc were the companies which visited our campus for recruitments, maximum offered was 3 lac/annum according to my knowledge.

College Events

3.5

Various events are celebrated in our college which included the sports day, the annual day, the festival and other events which kept changing according to occassions all there listed above were celebrated on a large scale with the college festival spanning over 3 days with various sub events included and attracted large participation from students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very flexible the fee could be submitted annually bi annually and the staff was also extremely courteous and flexible the students as well as parents are re never burdened with frequent demands. Very cheap as its a Government college and various scholarship programmes are available. I pay 5000 annually which is a very less amount for education.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are educational loan and scholarships but i know very little about them as i had never availed them as there is no need and never such a bright student that i could qualify for scholarship.

Campus Life

2.5

Extremely important for a students overall development, opens one up about the whole outlook on life and brings about a lot of positive changes in one. The whole thinking process elevates when you speak your mind about social, political issues, current affairs. The economy on the whole helps in bringing about the change is society.

Hostel Facilities

5

There is no hostel facilities in our college, girls use to opt for rented accommodation or pg services. And i live in delhi so i don't need the hostel or PG facilities too though our college doesn't have its hostel also girls stay in rented hour who are outsider.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are exactly the way seniors are bullies, but some were extremely helpful. They not only provided their perspective on the courses and related career options, but helped with notes and guidance related to chapters and exams etc.

Exam Structure

No the exams and events were balanced and were never seen as a burden by students they were well communicated in advance to all the students. It was quite chilled out. Putting some pressure towards the end because of a vast syllabus with short span to cover up.

Admission

I got admission here on the basis of my 12th class board examination result. All you need is to score good percentage to take admission in Delhi University college's. It all started by the online admission form for taking admission in the college . The form was of few amount i don't remember the amount . Then we had to select the course in which we have to sudy and the form was filled . Then after few weeks a cut off list dates were announced that when will the list's will come out. The list was on the perce basis that if we have scored so and so marks will get admission on that particular date . Luckily my percentage was there on the 1st list itself. So i went to the college with my father . There we had to collect the admission form which was of 10 rs something and along with it we got a college prospectus which was of 50 rs. Then i went inside the college they checked all my results and then allowed me to go inside where students were filling the form. All this happened and then after every requirements and all things i got admission there.

Faculty

5

The faculty members are very nice and even understanding. They teach us the best way to make us understand each and every thing . They make us feel free to ask them anything . Its a very great learning process. They are very amazing. Quite helpful taking up various tutorials, discussing current issues and giving interesting assignments to learn from. The faculty takes interest in teaching the course and they are Knowledgeable.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
