To enter in iit Guwahati first we have to clear jee mains.Over16 Lakh students about 2.5lakh selected for advance. And the door to iit opens after clearing advance. Engineering students mostly choose iit/nit/iiit for their graduation because of the good placement and good facility available in these institutions. In other words, life is almost set...

Course Curriculum Overview

The course as per what we should learn to gain experience. Most eligible faculty members, experienced in their field, listen to students and help them in every possible way. We almost learn everything practically, so learn easily. course consists of 8 semester

Class Size: 95Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Placement Experience

About placement, the placement rate is good about 85-90percent per year. The average salary offered is 15-20lakh. And the highest salary range is about 45-50 Lakh. This year it is 1.5crode .more than 200 companies resister. Some of the international companies also. like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Google and many more

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are more than 1lakh per semester. But sc/st/PWD/ews section has to pay less because they don't have to pay tuition fees. A scholarship also available. for that, we have to follow some criteria. If the given criteria are fulfilled then we can get scholarships. Whenever some scholarship program available we will be informed .we can also get scholarships to study abroad.

Campus Life

About campus iit Guwahati has the most beautiful campus among all iit. Hostel, mess facility is also good. And we don't have to share a room with others. library faculty is good can Issue any book for 15 days. Indoor and outdoor game facility available. We can participate in any game as per our interest. Can compete with other iits. There are many more clubs at iit Guwahati we can join any. Clubs like finance, economic, technical, robotic and many more. Joining the club is important to show your creativity and help during placement also. All clubs are run by students and there is so much fun.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility are good.students alloted single room with no partner. Mess and canteen attached to each hostel. One stationary shop also. Student should allowed to live inside campus only. So no pg .

Interview Experience

Yes, we have to clear jee. After clearing Jee we have to resister for josaa .where we have to fill choices of college and interesting program. The counselling takes 7 round and one I think two special round also.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

I chose IIT Guwahati because of a strong IIT brand , excellent placements and comparetively lower fees. Compare to other IIT's it provied good campus expreience and less academic pressure. Compare to other NIT's , private colleges ,IIT Guwahati stands out in every fields. If one coudn't make it too higher IIT's it's because of not elegible after the JEE advanced rank as competition is very intense. Detailed and Unbiased Review

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
