Remarks

Teaching of college is too good and faculty member are always ready to help you. But college is unable to place all the student. Campus is not too big. Wifi is not available but charge to it. Ragging free campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am admitted in IT branch. Course Curriculum is old as compare to industry level. Exam Structure is quite simple . University firstly publish the form to submit to seat in exam. Must of fields is already filled just you have to select optional subject which you are selected. There are 2 part of exam - Theory and Practical. Theory paper come from university and practical paper is made in college.

Placement Experience

Placement is good as compare to other college. Around 70% student got placed in on campus and rest of 30% are got placed within 6 month of course completion. College does not provide internship in IT and CSE but provide in some other stream like-ECE.

College Events

PARIDHI:- One of the best events in college. In this Event more than 12 games are included to participate. Hackathon is also organised and many more. almost students of all college in Kolkata is participated. YUVA:This event is cultural event in which many type of dance,fashion show and singing competition is organised.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Total of 3.65 lac is college fee which is feasible in this course. Around 70000 is admission with 1st semester fee and rest amount is divided into 7 semester fee. But as compare to government college fee is too high.

Fees and Financial Aid

TFW and WBFS is best scheme which can be availed by West Bengal candidate who is living more than 10 years in West Bengal. If you are in OBC/SC/ST then you can avail scholarship of 20000 from state government. Loan can be taken from any nearest bank of your location college will provide you only letter.

Campus Life

In extracurricular activities, You can participate in drawing only. Labs of college is good to learn, all facility is present in lab but number of instrument is less but for IT all is good. In sports you can play cricket, TT.

Alumni/Alumna

All the senior students are helpful in terms of guidance or help in study as well. They always asked about help in assignments and project. At examination time whenever i need help they are always ready to help

Admission

To get admission, first i passed wbjee entrance exam and score good rank to get admission. Then documents is verified in counselling after that i went to college with all my documents and Demand draft, got admitted.

Faculty

As per my view, IT and CSE faculty of college is good to teach you and help many times as much as you need. After completed course, within 6 month each of us are placed. In my course period, best teachers of my faculty are Sanjay sir and Hazra Sir

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
