Remarks

The best thing about Gargi is that their faculty is just amazing, teachers are cooperative, helpful and supportive. Not only studies but curricular activities are top-notch as well, there are numerous societies- Enliven, TMS, Eco club, NSS which gave students a chance to enhance their personality. Infrastructure is great! There is Wi-Fi, canteen, lab, library facility and many more, the bad aspects which I didn't like are the calling connectivity, you just cannot call anyone, the network is quite bad and the college doesn't have hostel facility as there are many students who cannot afford to live in a PG/ flat. I got admission through the merit list, it was based on the best of 4 subjects. There are many disciplines it is up to us which one we have to choose and whether we are able to get under the cut-off. I preferred this college because of its nice environment, focused faculty of teachers who are quite serious about our studies, cooperative mates, used Tal Entertainments for the same.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because I always wanted to learn the German language, as I want to build my career in that. The facility is amazing, they are cooperative, have excellent knowledge about their respective subjects. Proper notes are being provided, if a student has any doubt they clear it. In BA Programme we have 200 students including all the disciplines in our batch and to avoid congestion sections are divided as well with proper management of time table. All the staff members are well qualified in their respective subjects and are quite punctual, they provide proper notes and study material to their students, Not only this they prepare class tests also so that we can calculate where we are lacking and the points we need to focus. We have 2 semesters in each year with a time span of 6 months, if we have practice and knowledge and have worked hard we can score good marks as teachers provide us with previous year question papers which helps us a lot.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Yes, there are a huge amount of internships are offered to students of each and every courses. Companies like installers, younity, go dutch, My captain, leardershala, super77, etc give internship opportunities to the students, internships are secured with the help of placement cell. Profiles like Marketing ambassadors, sales, content writing, HR, business development, social media marketing are being offered. Some give stipend and some are performance-based, we get the certificate of completion and LOR is performance-based. We receive almost 15+ internship opportunities daily to apply.

Placement Experience

4

From the 3rd year, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, etc visit our campus. The maximum package was app. 24 lacs and the minimum was 6 lac. It is up to your course, the annual package depends on your background. Almost 80% of the students got placed. I want to continue my studies with the german language and do masters in that and get proper command and do masters in that and make a career as an interpreter.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of all the courses are quite affordable for all, annual fees of the BA Programme is 24,200, whereas annual fees of BA Hons is around 36,000 to 1 lac and B.EL.ED has 45,000. Scholarships like the National portal scheme are there for many girls, students get scholarships under the sports category as well. The campus job is based on your course like students from BA Programme focus on further studies, as they prepare for UPSC, on the contrary students from Management and B.Com Hons gets good placement with a nice package around 4-5 lac from the companies like EY, Deloitte, etc. Students from all courses get the opportunity of internships, some of them are paid and some of them are unpaid, but it gives a lot of learning experience, knowledge, networking and exposure to the students.

Campus Life

4.5

The life at the campus is just amazing! The students interact with each other, there is the botanical garden, arts squad, an auditorium where various things happen which makes this college a relaxing place. We have a Diwali fest around Diwali every year called Zistatva and an annual fest around January ending or February starting called Reverie. All the departments have their respective fests as well. There are enormous books available in our library and everyone has access to it. There is the facility of various games like football, table tennis, etc the students who are interested in available sports can enrol for the same. There are societies for each thing like for dance Gargi has Nazakat and Enliven, for Music and singing it has Samranjini and euphony, For drama, it has Upstage and Kshitij and the list is quite long. The social groups run by students on various social media platforms are Navdrashti association, Enliven- the western dance society, NSS- Gargi, Gargi College official, etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
