Remarks
Delhi University is a completely merit-based university. I was given this college as per my class 12th percentage. I am a General Category student, so I didn't avail any quota. All the students with 98.25% and above could have applied for the same in Humanities and this changes every year based on the cutoff. First, you have to fill the form and make necessary payments to reserve your seat. As soon as the confirmation comes from the Principle of the college then you can do the further process of documents submission, orientation is scheduled accordingly.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to build my career as a psychologist. The class size is 50 plus. The Faculty of the college is good. The teachers are friendly and helpful. They provide good study material and are open to queries. The Course curriculum is as per Delhi University guidelines, so it will be the same in all the other DU colleges. The faculty is well qualified and their teaching method is also very decent. Examinations are conducted in the best possible way. One is the final semester exams, mid-term exams, and sometimes class tests for practice. The quality of the examination paper is good in terms of questions and content.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of the study is affordable because Delhi University is a completely public central government university. Students from different states and countries come across to study in this prestigious University. Students are provided scholarships based on their yearly results. In conclusion, I would like to say that, it is value for money.
Campus Life
The psychology department is very active and is like a family. The annual fest of Gargi is also pretty good. Gargi College has its initiative name - Izhaar for mental health awareness. The campus of the college is pretty compact. In almost, twice or thrice a week there are talk show, quiz or discussions organized for the exposure of the students. The societies of Gargi College are very popular in Delhi University especially Dance society and Nukkad Natak. In terms of infrastructure, the college is pretty decent. They have all the basic amenities in the college like Labs, Ground, Auditorium, Classrooms are also quite spacious.
