For getting admission in IITs we have to clear jee advance exam, cut-off for each category varies every year according to the difficulty level of the exam. In JOSAA counseling we can give preference to any college and branch we like to do engineering but after the 7th round, we get only that college and branch in which our category rank Or AIR fit and we opted for that as our preference college and branch. I got admission in iitg because of my sc girl quota. Maximum age for getting admission into iits after clearing jees advance not more than 24 years. There is no minimum age limit but candidates must be qualified for 10+12 with jee advance exam. After clearing jee advance candidate become eligible for josaa counseling where she/ he can select college and branch according to their interest and preference. There will be a total of 7 rounds where the candidate college and branch may remain the same or can change after 7 th round the college and branch we get is final.

Actually, I already have interest in ECE and I gave priority to this branch but preference college was different, I got iitg with respect to jee advance rank. Faculty student ratio is good about 4.29. Qualifications of each faculty are mostly Ph.D from foreign. Teaching method is also quite interesting provide tutorial problems, pdf, classes. Per sem we have mid sem and end some exam including some assignment and project It was not that much difficult to pass if one gave full concern in class.

Many internship opportunities. These are offered by any company. And also internship opportunities from the college side on summer vacation in 7 to 8 semesters. Interested students can apply. Most students themselves handle those things.

As IITG secured 7th rank among all IITs ,it shows good placement here. From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. In year 2020 companies those visited iitg are: Microsoft , Goldman Sachs, JPMC, Oracle whose no of offers are 19,9,9,14 respectively. Highest salary packages offered range from 45-50 LPA, average salary packages offered is 15 LPA. 65.28% students gets placements in iitg. After getting degree I also choose to get job in best companies.

Including mess, hostel and academic fee sc/st students have to pay 32100 INR for one semester it varies with MEB and OEB. OBC, General students pay 132100 INR. Sc/ st students get 1000 INR each month prior to secure minimum cpi to get scholarship. And many scolarship opportunity are mailed to us. Toppers of each stream also provided scholarship Job opportunity is available from 7th semester from different companies GOOGLE, AMAZON.. etc

Each year students celebrate the annual convocation, each Indian festival. Alcheringa is one of the student festivals. Every year sports tournaments are also conducted. SWC is purely run by students. Cepstrum for ECE /EEE branch students is also a students group that helps juniors with previous years' exam paper sets, books, and helps juniors by answering their queries. There are different groups for different branch students.
