The college management is quite professional, has a sre department for a examinations and purposes . We have a disciplinary committee although it has a student body but are headed by faculty especially people oriented in sports.

Appeared for UPSEAT got a rank of 328, was intrigued by the energy industry and at that time was the best option available.

The course is very informative but one has to be really energetic and hopefull for any research. The culture is not research oriented maybe because not much emphasis is given on the research aspect . But certain individuals can get a research funding through a competition held once a year.

The internship is provided by the college , but getting a internship with stipend is purely on luck basis. Other than college providing internships companies come for recruitment drive for interns in 3rd year for which stipend is definitely and also good.

For our branch companies that came were namely tieto offering 3.3lpa at helsinki , aveva 3.5lpa at Hyderabad , Weatherford drilling international 27lpa at Saudi arabia , L&t hydrocarbons 4.8lpa at Mumbai then relocating frequently, BYjus 6-8 lpa, Infosys energy vertical 3.25lpa at mysore, tech mahindra 3.2 lpa, shell india 6lpa at Chennai.

There are different societies that work independently and focus on different fields like petroleum societies, society for geology, society for mechanical, and events of these societies happen very frequently. Other than that we have a college tech fest called ignite. And a college fest called uurja.

The fee structure is expensive compared to a normal engineering college our fee is approximately 2 lakhs per year for tuition. It is highly expensive for a college where the only justification is one or two good company opportunities. So overall you are spending 8 lakhs on tuition alone and get an average salary of 4 lpa . The feasibility is not a question mark , but a big "no way fealsible".

The college offers fee waiver to the highest 12th board percentage, and continues to waive your tuition fee if you continue to perform exceedingly well. Maintain a cgpa of more than 3.75/4.00 till the end of four years.but this feature is only available for CBSE and ICSE and not other boards.

The gender ratio in the campus is good. But the gender ratio varies tremendously from branch to branch.plenty of cultural societies participate. We have foreign exchange students who study with us , it is very common. There is no discrimination on the basis of ethinicity, race , religion, sexual orientation, politics. Might have a little favorism on gender.

The hostel facilities are inadequate for the number of students studying, girls have plenty of options. But for boys the chance of getting into a hostel is more about vacancy available rather than a choice. The facilities are really good with the option of an Ac room. The food is very average and the students mostly prefer maggi. But we do get chicken/paneer twice a week with naans.

Aluminium network is pretty strong many alumnus have startups or placed at super major oil companies. They keep on interacting with juniors encouraging them giving them tips on how to choose a direction for their career.

We have two test which are not that important then a mid arms which constitute 20% of final grade then we have two more test not that important again , then a final end sem constituting of 30% of final grade. And labs consists of 2 hrs weekly for every lab.

First , the UPSEAT (entrance exam to UPES,) Then, counselling session at Delhi where students are called rank wise and can get a seat available or wait list themselves for a branch already out of seats. Meanwhile , a large screen projector shows you real time information about seats available for every branch while people wait for their turn. In your turn , we choose a seat give them the first semester payment amount and confirm our selection.

The faculty maybe qualified at a level of certification required. But most faculty are industry professionals. Rather than a bookish theory perspective you get a more practical approach. Faculty are dedicated and provide with all electronic means of communication and grading systems.
