A great college, lifetime of memories and learning opportunities

The admission process was a bit cumbersome, parents were not allowed inside the college premises. Only the students were allowed to go inside the campus with the required documents (mark sheet, application form, etc.). Staff and student volunteers were very helpful.

I chose Political Science due to my interest in the subject, and the faculty at Gargi made it even more interesting and easy to learn with interactive seminars, in-college and outside talks, departmental activities, among other things. The environment is filled with encouragement from teachers to take up leadership roles and responsibilities. 95% of our professors either had a PhD degree or were enrolled in one. Professors here are highly qualified with an excellent understanding of their subjects. For my GE (elective subject), I chose economics for 2 years, subjects ranging from microeconomics, macroeconomics, and Indian economy 1 & 2. Semester exams are conducted once a semester on the university level and internal exams are conducted towards the end of a semester, with ongoing assignments and presentations throughout.

I interned with a company called WrittenlyHub in the field of Content Writing with the help of Gargi college placement cell. The stipend was 10000 per month. I interned for a period of 4 months with members from the placement cell helping and guiding me throughout, from solving my queries to giving tips for interviews.

Placements are available for final year students and alumni, however, both paid and unpaid internships are available for all students. Average packages are around 4LPA, with different streamwise Whatsapp groups for different jobs and internships

The fee is subsidised, around 11000 per year. In addition to this, there is a provision for scholarship, for which an application has to be submitted. Placement cell of college is excellent for Internships, I secured a 10k per month Internship in my final year

Reverie and Zistatva are our two major fests, which are renowned throughout University of Delhi. The library is full of books from all genres, especially academic, with subject wise division. There is a digital reading room outside the library for computer work and there are 2 AC reading rooms inside the library, for professors and students respectively. Societies are diverse and proactive. I had been a part of NSS, and went on to become the President in the year 2020-21.
