Remarks

The admissions was based on the 12th result, cut off were high and were closed around the 6th or 7th cut off at 95% The whole process was online due to the pandemic and pretty easy to access. The only problem was that server was down sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Economics Hons is a difficult course but is very helpful for future studies. The teachers are not many in our college they are also currently hiring. Almost all the faculty is graduated from Delhi University and many of them have Ph.D. The teachers are very professional and explain in detail. They also suggest all the study material and provide us with the pdfs. The classes were not very regular. The exams were all online and teachers also adjusted the timings of classes or assignments according to us and gave us enough time to study. The examination was online and obe so it was pretty easy for everyone to score good marks. The attendance was also not a problem because in my first 2 semesters the marks were not given on the basis of attendance.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Many NGOs contact our placement cell for internships and also some new upcoming companies. NGOs usually don't provide stipends and the internship is for a month extending them to 3. And the companies offering internships with stipends can be for 2 to 6 months on the site or work from home. Internships are for the post of a content writer, campus ambassador even for accounting, graphic designing, HR, Marketing, and many more.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students can apply for internships from the 1st semester if the job mentions the 1st year in the eligibility criteria. I am in my 2nd year so I don't have enough information about the companies visited to give placements. Many students take the placement and many plans to go and study abroad. Many work for masters also.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very reasonable and the fees of reserved candidates are even lower than the general. I don't have enough knowledge about the scholarship but the job opportunities and internships are available most of the time with or without a stipend. The placement cell of the college is very active and also updates all the courses with the internship programs available for us.

Campus Life

1.5

Since when I started college it was during the pandemic we couldn't organize any fest. There were no online fests in our college. The college doesn't have a big playground but it has a basketball court and we have a football team of boys not sure about girls but again, they are not active right now I guess. The dance society is a very active society and conducts sessions regularly. The music, fashion society also exists in our college. Enactus is a very big society that gives you exposure in the field of business. Placement cell is also good to join. Friday school of economics is for you if you are interested in research papers. Girl up is a society dealing with issues related to women. Debate society, writing, vyapar and we have many more societies lot of in different courses. And we have never been to the campus. Only seen the front gate. And for some even that is not the case. The only reason I am giving the campus life a 3.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
