Remarks

There were certain sad love stories which even killed the couple apart from that everything was very good in short I would say that fergusson college is the right place where a college student grows.

Entrance Preview

Admission was only on percentage received in Higher Secondary Board examination. I had scored 76.14% and I decided to join Fergusson college because of its rich educational experience, heavenly ambience, interactive Kimaya discussions and talented staff. There are actually no words which will describe my college fully. It is a heavenly experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Ours was the second batch in the field of Electronics and curriculum was good. Though it was not sufficient but taking into consideration the newly started curriculum it was well designed. It improved further in the next batches. I had to take other courses to fit myself in the industry.

Internships Opportunities

No. There was no such facility. However, many small scale companies locally had arranged internship assistance. I was also selected for internship in Astral E & E Pvt. Ltd.

Placement Experience

3.5

All my colleagues including me are in very good companies and working in a good position many of them are US returned and have started their own enterprises the confidence given by fergusson college helped all my colleagues succeed in life and stand on their own feet.

College Events

5

Technical exhibitions, cultural events like InSynch where students are encouraged to showcase their skills and boost their confidence were held in the college at a very big scale. Participation was also good. Rather these events were the highlights of my college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees were very less at that time. I has something around 350 per year. This was very much affordable to common people but Fergusson college is known for the rich class of people and there was no differentiation between the rich and the poor. It was a healthy environment.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the fees were so less that people did not required any loan facility I had taken part in essay competitions held by Competition Success Review Pvt. Ltd. and Indian Express and had received their award other than this I did not had any scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Campus life was awesome co-education was very good there was a gender equality and the situation was not like today when there is female discrimination or abuse stories. Cricket ground behind the college invited the college students to involve themselves in extra curricular activities labs were very good, debates are fergussonians are very good at.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I was a local student and did not take hostel facilities canteen was very good and my daily lunch/snacks was the bun-vada which is very famous in fergusson college my friends who were living in hostel did not ever complain about the hostel so I guess the

Alumni/Alumna

Yes Many ex-students at that time were in touch with the juniors and helped us in notes or also explained some queries i have never expected anything like this the college was like a family and it was very good for personal as well as professional growth.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was good two many subjects but now I feel that those were worth and we rightly studied those many subjects in 3 years practicals were hectic but gave us good learning the practicals were less understood by me at that time but later on as I

Faculty

5

All the faculty members were very decent and talented they had the desire to teach from the bottom of their heart which made us grasp the subject easily they were also very helpful in teaching us again in case of any doubt faculty was not at all biased an

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
