Remarks
I applied to Shiv Nadar University but did not continue with that university because it didn't offer a psychology course. I did not avail any quota as it was not needed. The first cut-off in Sri Aurobindo college evening for the Applied Psychology course was 92% in 12th boards. There was no counseling day as such, we were directly enrolled in our courses.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I want to pursue clinical psychology as my career, and my course offered this subject within the curriculum. The faculty to student ratio is 1:14, which is one teacher per subject. I feel my teachers are greatly qualified with vast knowledge about their specific fields. But due to online classes, the teaching methods haven't been as effective as teachers face trouble interacting with the students. The term papers were given ample amount of time and as it was OBE, they were easy to clear.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of my college are approximately 8000 rupees, which according to me is reasonable for a student. There has been no hike in fees of the college in the past several years because this is a part of Delhi University and the college can't take any fees decisions on its own. There are no scholarships provided in my college also no financial assistance is provided for the students which in my opinion is justified because the fees are already very low.
Campus Life
There are as such no annual fest in my college, but each society organizes its own specific events, for example, music, theatre, and dance events. The library is very vast with a wide category of books, including all the course books and novels. The classrooms are neat and spacious. The sports team of my college is not as great due to the unavailability of sports teachers. There are many societies in my college under various categories, including dance, music, theatre, mental health, fashion, etc. most of the societies are student-run with one or two teachers as their convenor.
Other Applied Colleges
