Remarks
Before Sri Aurobindo College (Evening) I applied to Symbiosis school of liberal arts. Symbiosis was not my first preference as it was in Pune, and I wanted to stay in Delhi. The admission procedure in Sri Aurobindo College(evening) is easy and took place in online mode, which was better for the students who do not live near. I did not apply for any quota. The admission was based on the percentage we scored in 12th grade. The first cut-off percentage was 92%. There was no counseling day as such, we were directly enrolled in our classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I want to pursue organizational psychology as my career, and the Applied psychology course offered this subject within the curriculum. The faculty to student ratio is 1:14, which is one teacher per one subject. For me, the teachers are highly qualified, with Ph.D. degrees in psychology. Though the teaching methods lag a little bit due to online teaching modes, the teachers, as well as the students, are not used to this method of teaching. The interactive session of the class is not often followed. The term exams were easy and were conducted within enough spam of time between them. The exams were in OBE format.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of my course is 7349 Rupees, which in my opinion is quite affordable for any student. There has been no hike of fee in the past several years because this is the part of Delhi University and the colleges cannot take this decision as an individual body. There are no scholarships or financial assistance provided in my college which is justified as the fee is already very low.
Campus Life
Every year, there is an annual Univeristy fest, in which all the colleges are allowed to participate in. Those fests are mostly conducted in months of October. Our college has a decent library, with tables and chairs to study. All the books of all the courses of the college are available in the library. The classroom sizes of my college are pretty sufficient having the accommodation of maximum 60 Sstudents. We also have a white and a black board. The sports department of my college is not that great, due to the lack of sufficient sports teachers. Other than that our college has clubs or societies for almost every extracurricular activity. We have gender society, fashion society, photography society and many more.
Other Applied Colleges
