Remarks
I applied for Ramanujam and deshbandhu both of the colleges that were very far from my home. I got admission in Shivaji College through the ECA quota in music. Actually, the cut-off was 91, and just like other Du colleges, it was the same. It was normal as the staff and teachers are concerned more about teaching, unlike other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as i was much drawned towards politics and getting a degree on political science hons. in DU is a boon indeed. Well the pol science faculty is particularly distinct in our college but never made us feel like an alien. If we were to specify the ratio i would say 40:60. Well faculty is well qualified and the teaching method id also good. Due to covid the examination part was full of hazzle. Its not tough to pass the exam, if you study, so that is where problem arises.
Internships Opportunities
From time to time we get internship opportunities in our college. They mostly give skill-based internships and sometimes they include stipends for the former. Like ui ux or science faculty-based, or data handling, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees in Shivaji college is a bit higher than other colleges per se. As half of fees go to the library, and students rarely go to that library. I didnt get any scholarship when I got on campus. There is a possibility to get a scholorship based on your quota and also international students get around 40-70k for studies here.
Campus Life
This is fun, so our campus recently got well crowd-wise. Before that the college always been gloomy-gloomy. The annual fest is great just like other DU colleges. Classrooms are fairly equipped and maintained. Actually our college provide Fc Barca training to students and there are other certificate courses too. There are several cultural societies which is actually fun indeed.
