Remarks
I appeared for JEE mains and got a 46k rank. I filled Jossa counseling and was allotted EEE in first cut -off. We were called for physical reporting along with all the documents and the process was smooth. I had a state quota, so under 50k rank was good enough. Later my branch was upgraded to ECE in a further round of counseling. Everything is scheduled and all the details are sent by JOSSA itself.
Course Curriculum Overview
Had to study ECE because couldn't get a CSE. Faculty are cool and helpful but even headaches sometimes. Overall our department was helpful and I had a smooth run, despite my disinterest in ECE. Every sem we had a two-cycle tests and one end sem. Total we had to get 30 out of 100, which was difficult sometimes.
Internships Opportunities
There are two types of intern opportunities. Summer intern, which is done in the summer break, and Semester intern, which can be done in either 7th or 8th sem. We have a few on-campus internship opportunities as well.
Placement Experience
Placements are mainly CS/IT-based. We had a few core companies like L&T, Laxmi mittal for civil and mech, but a large portion of campus placements resides along with IT companies. One or two consultancies like ZS and Deloitte also visit campus. LTI, Capgemini, ZS, Cvent, Publicis Sapient are regular at the campus. Avg 6 LPA, CSE: Around 8 LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
For gen fee was high, but income-based relaxation was there. My family income was under 1 lakh, so I had a nominal fee of 5k per sem plus a hostel fee. There was a tuition fee waiving scheme for income between 1-5 LPA also.
Campus Life
It was not so great yet jot so bad. There were different clubs and supporting faculties as well, it was just like students were not very interested. Overall it was good. We had a cycling club, adventure club, dance and yoga club, literary society, art and craft club. Sports facilities are jot great but participation in inter NIT is regular. We had a college team of almost every game, athletics, and body building as well. Yes, we had a small gym as well.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fee was managed by the administration. There are many PGs nearby and in every price range. Hostel mess is bearable. The menu was good, but the taste lacked. Aloo paratha was our favorite mess meal. We had some dhabas nearby. There is no fancy place but a lot of cheap restrau and caffe.
