Remarks

I am from general category and I applied for BA in Applied psychology. College offers admission to BA, BCom, BSc and BVoc programmes based on Class 12 marks, except for the Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) course. The admission criteria was very simple, you just need to apply for the college and after approval you need to pay the fees. There was no councelling, the college gives you admission on your 12 board percentage. I got admission in 4th cut off as my best four was 97.75%.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course as I learnt how to solve problems that your clients have by using the psychological theories that you have learned in your degree program. You could possibly train clients to change how they think and behave, and they may learn through you how to create systems that can promote better outcomes in their lives. Faculty: Exam held as per the guideline from the Delhi University. The main thing about this college is there are so many societies for the students who are willing to do something extra in their life. Faculty members appreciate every student and encourage other students to take part in societies. The exam is not that much difficult, and 70% is the passing percentage. The faculty members in Ramanujan College, Delhi University, are very well-qualified. They give their services in a very enthusiastic way, and this makes us enjoy our studies. The course curriculum is very relevant, and they teach according to CBCS. Practical classes are also conducted.

Internships Opportunities

4

Most students who score above 70% in their academics get placed. Companies like Wipro Axis Bank, Decathlon Company, and others visit the campus to recruit students. Almost 70% of the students get placed in college. Roles offered are like an accountant and GD marketing jobs opportunities. However, teachers are available to guide you for placements as you can ask them any query regarding them like how to apply for placements in companies, which companies approach, what extra certificates should students have, etc.

Placement Experience

4

From 3rd semester students become eligible for campus placements. About 60-65% of the students got placements in 2020. Top recruiting companies are Decathlon, Amazon, ICICI, TCS, Yes Bank, Wipro, Microsoft, KPMG and Tech Mahindra. College placement serves as an outstanding platform for the students to gain specific skills related to their subject of choice or domain to stay ahead of the competition by providing them with live projects, internships that provides adequate corporate exposure.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college gives you 6 courses in BA HONS. The total fees Would be from 45k- 65k for all the 6 courses. They also provide scholarships to high scored ones. They have lots of extracurricular activities for students for their mental and physical health growth. The last but not the least, the fest arrangements are really awesome and entertaining. Various extracurricular activities like singing, dancing, painting, sports, cultural activities are provided to the students. About 60-65% of the students got placements in 2020. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Decathlon, Amazon, ICICI, TCS, Yes Bank, Wipro, Microsoft, KPMG and Tech Mahindra.

Campus Life

5

It has a good campus, and focuses more students on study and development. All the facilities were good classrooms were neat and clean because of the new building, spacious library, Wi-Fi option was there but only limited to the college. Computer laboratories were also available for students. One medical room was there and one sports room. Food facilities were average at reasonable prices, but students will not get a proper meal there. The food options are chowmein, samosa, chili potato, and all. The groups in Ramanujan college are: Ramanujan Bhangra Society. Shivranjani – The Music Society. Tark – The English/Hindi Debating Society. Tatva – The Environment & Eco Club.

Other Applied Colleges

Vivekananda College | BA ( Applied psychology)

I guess Ramanujan college is far better than vivekananda college.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
