Remarks

LSR is the most competitive place to be, making a sense of self-identity at LSR is really difficult considering the competitive atmosphere it possesses. I personally love college because I know, being a union member, I go here to work. It's all about going back and starting again. College life is full of unexpected things, from having no identity to the hell competitive environment of establishing identity again, it's all about ups and down, going back and forth.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam. On the basis on 12th grade, I got the course and college, I am pursuing. LSR is known for the aura it has, and the kind of person it moulds us into. So, there can be no better choice than LSR.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Being a psychology student, my course curriculum is pretty good, but since psychology is more of practice oriented, While what we do in college is complete theoretical or just making practical files, so, I guess, it could have been more practical oriented and real life experience based.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, College provides a lot of internship opportunities, Most of them are unpaid. The kind of experience from full time internships are the best, general stipend varies from 5k and above.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements and job opportunities in LSR are usually at peak. But psychology department generally don't have good placements to offer, as limited companies use to come, and most placement opportunities are for economics and commerce departments. Maximum placement of this year is about 25 lakhs so the kind of exposure here is surpass amazing.

College Events

4

Events celebrated in college involves Hand over ceremony, various occasional celebrations, National Holidays, Special assemblies, Various society events, Graduation day, college day. Being a union member of HIVE - The Fine Arts Society of LSR, we use to have Art Fest, the biggest occasion for LSR students is TARANG - LSR'S annual Cultural fest, an exclusive extravaganza.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is flexible, in the sense, DU colleges are generally inexpensive. Schools generally have high fees, than what college has, Thus, it's affordable, also, we have scholarships and freeships, for the people who require. So, I guess, its' pretty much descent.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarship and loan facilities available in college, but, I haven't availed any of them yet. But there are various freeships and exchange programmes also available in college.

Campus Life

4.5

Being a union member of Fine Arts Society of LSR, campus life is fun with extra curriculars, it's like destressing onself, because, you know you have a reason to love college, and there is so much more than studies to rely on. Campus life is fun because the kind of opportunities the environment of LSR provides is amazing.

Hostel Facilities

3

Not being a hosteller, I don't have much idea for the same. But, from what all I have heard, the allotment of rooms in hostel is based on marks system. Hostel nights are fun with secret santa and various cultural nights. Gate pass system and rules of hostel are kind of strict.

Alumni/Alumna

Being a second year student, I don't have much contacts with alumni. But senior students are generally helpful. Though, being hell competitive, LSR students generally have the aura of superiority, but seniors are really helpful and caring

Exam Structure

Exam structure is really hectic. College bombards us with multiple assignments, submissions and practical reports. But, basically, that only prepares us for the exams. Being a kind of student who just studies in exams, exam structure for me is really hectic as balancing extra co-curricular along with studies ometimes becomes hectic, but exams are generally chilled out. Due to the kind of preparations we do throughout semester.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of college is pretty good. As lecturers, they are precise, concise and the way of explaining this surpass all our doubts. But, its strange how, at LSR, we are bombarded with assignments, internals, with basically no gain and just pressure, throughout the semester. But as a faculty member, they are motivating and captivating enough to grab our attention. The use of presentations, role plays b teachers further enhances their way of teaching.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
