Remarks
There was no entrance exam for admission. Instead, cut-off was released. I had scored 89.20 percent in the board exams and I got this college in the first cut-off. The University of Delhi releases an application form for admission in undergraduate programme on its official site just after the announcement of the board result of the class 12th ( generally in the last week of May each year) Regarding eligibility, anyone can take admission in History Honours and one is not required to have that subject studied in their 11th and 12th class. However, 2.5 percent is deducted if you change your stream. For instance, if you have a science stream in class 12th and you opt for History in graduation 2.5 percent marks will be deducted.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have loved reading history since childhood and hence I opted for history in my graduation. The faculty-student ratio is good. It is one faculty for 60 students. In fact, there was just one section. Faculties are highly qualified and very proficient teachers. They engage all the students very well. Exams are very timely and are moderate level in terms of passing the exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are very feasible. I had to pay around 10,000 each year. I did not get a scholarship. Nor there was any campus job after graduation. However, people from certain sections including PWD are given scholarships.
Campus Life
The annual fest happens generally in February or March and goes on for 3 to 4 days. The library and the reading hall are good. Books are available for all the courses. Daily newspapers and monthly and weekly magazines are also available all the time. Classrooms are equipped with a projector and audio-visual system. The college has one of the largest playgrounds. One of the fascinating things about the college is its different societies be it singing society, theatre society, Dance society, Debating society, fashion society.
