Remarks

For admission, you have to apply on du.ac.in the website. Eligibility of the course is 70-80%. I have applied for the B.A Programme with political science and physical education. You will find the application form and other related information about course/admission only on du.ac.in If you comes under any reservation, then apply for it whether you want to go with sports quota or SC/ST. I took my admission under sports quota. For sports quota, you need certificate ( state level, national level, University level or any other). Process is simple and online only. You have to submit your documents in online format only. If you have any confusion regarding your admission form, contact respective college of DU. They will help out you. I don't find any difficulty in admission process. For UG course, your admission done on merit basis criteria and for PG, you have go through the entrance and viva process, only then you are eligible to get the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I want to pursue my career in physical education background only. So I choose this course. Always choose your course on your interest. For some courses, you have different sections. I have two sections and in each section, you have 50-60 students. For every subject, you have one teacher assigned. Teachers are with PhD qualifications. They are professors. Their way of teaching is good. They are good teachers. Level of exams is moderate not much difficult. But you have to study to clear the exams, otherwise, you may have to give the exams again. Exams happen semester-wise only. In one semester, you have to give exams for once only. Other than exams, you have an internal assessment and practical and viva.

Placement Experience

3.5

In terms of placement, the placement cell organized and invite different companies. Placement cells are approached for different companies to maximize the chances to get the placement. And many students got selected for placements. My course is B.A programme.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the course is moderate. You do have not to pay in lakhs. It's only 11k-12k fees per year. If you are able to pay the fees, then you can apply for the scholarship, NSP scholarship portal. And also, you can contact your principal and teachers regarding your financial conditions. They will surely help you out.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good. The college infrastructure is good. In Library, you will find various books regarding your courses. You can issue Library books by showing your library cards. Every year, before the pandemic, an annual fest is organized once a year. Tech fest and all, organized by semester-wise. Sports competitions/events are organized on regular basis. You will love the building and structure of the college. The college is clean. The college has an auditorium, medical room, library, sports ground, and other facilities.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
