Heramba Chandra College in West Bengal is a co educational institute with quality education and infrastructure facilities. The admission to UG programmes is based on class XII final marks. I read about this institute from collegedunia and shiksha websites.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of B.Com (Hons) is rigorous. Students get trained well in commerce subjects. The faculties are experienced and have good academic excellence. Semester wise exams are conducted and evaluation is done.

Placement Experience

Placements are good enough. The placements are not much in B Com graduation. Some recruiters usually from ICICI bank, HDFC Bank, Federal Bank, TATA, Reliance etc came for campus recruitment during my graduation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

INR 18,000 is the total fees for the programme. Economically weaker students are eligible for fee concessions. Government scholarships, Central Sector Scholarships, Merit cum means based scholarships are also provided.

Campus Life

The campus life is good. The class rooms are Wi-Fi enabled and have good facilities. Photography Club, Mountaineering Club, Debating Club, Drama Club and Nature Club are some popular student driven clubs in the campus.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
