Remarks

For taking admission to B. Tech in Civil Engineering one should get at least 50% marks in science in class 12th. You can find the admission process via (the Shivalik College of Engineering) website also helpline numbers are given which can help you out in taking admission. Although the overall fee structure is low reservation benefits are also provided you can get a scholarship for the domicile of your state. No, the admission process is seamless.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have chosen this course because B.tech in civil engineering provides better government job opportunities and also there are different opportunities for jobs in the public sector. The faculty and student ratio in Shivalik College is 1:15 therefore on 15 students there is a faculty who is well qualified. The best part of college is the faculty who are so supportive and motivate a lot for achieving our goals. The faculty are also highly qualified which makes students for developing better learning skills. The passing aggregate required is 33% of the total marks. The semester exams are a little bit hard as the examination paper is prepared by the board but students can easily clear the exams by studying and taking the help of teachers.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies like Hitachi offered many job opportunities also for civil engineering companies like JKG offered job opportunities for the site managers and surveyors with a salary of 18000 per month. Projects that we made in college provided a better chance for a good stipend also it shows that how much knowledge we have.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the second last semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Talking about placements, this time around 40%of the students got placed in different companies and highest package which one got was around 3.5 LPA which is approx 29,000 per month many companies like Hitachi, By jus, IBM, etc placed many students but the demand for civil engineering in the market is a little bit low but for computer science or Information technology there are huge placement opportunities. My plan after getting the degree is, I shall be preparing for a government job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee is quite low as compared to other colleges also this college provides you with many internship opportunities which can help you in the betterment of your career. National scholarships and different scholarships are provided to the eligible students also loan facilities are also provided through college. One can get many job opportunities through college depending upon their course. The stipend can vary upon the type of job.

Campus Life

4

In April annual fest and tech fest are organized in which everyone can take part. Although the college campus is not so huge the facilities provided by the college are amazing. There are well-maintained computer labs with fast Internet access. Classrooms have a biometric fingerprint scanner for attendance purposes. The best part of college is a library which has all access to different variety of books and also has pc with high-speed internet so that one can take knowledge with the Internet. Sports events are not so frequent but then also college manages to organize different sports events.

Interview Experience

3

Yes, group discussions are provided and there are many PDP (Personality development) classes in which job interviews and many other practices are made which helps students to develop many skills which help them in taking excellent placements.

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
