Remarks

Good remark about this college is that it is a excellent place for a computer geek.

Entrance Preview

I scored 140 in jee last year and got selected for this college. As i was going to undertake Comp Sci. I preferred this college. And in my first round i got selected for this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure is good. The college is strict. This helps us to keep us on track. Course curriculum is given by Pune University itself. It is good but the curriculum is not given in detail. For range of 1 t0 10 i will give 7. The college has a good mix of practical and theory setup which encouraged us to do some research during our last year. We all had done some or the other research projects and submitted at least one IEEE paper for the last year few of them were selected for publishing in the conference.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. There are many companies such as NVIDIA, persistent, amdocs, soft corner, etc. That used to provide project sponsorship as well as the stipend money. NVIDIA offers around one lakh.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement here is one of best in Maharastra. This year Rakuten picked 17 students at a package of 33 lakhs per annum. Morgan Stanley also came here and took 4 students with package of 13 lakhs, Awaya also came here took 5 students with 10 lakh package, E Q technologies took 8 students with package of 8 lakhs, And if see mass recruiters than accenture, infosys, ibm picks lots of students. Accenture took 70 students, around 80% student are placed here.

College Events

3.5

Events are were not much this year. If you are instrested in events i wolud tell you to prefer sihagad college of engineering. But some tech events such as robo wars etc takes place here. I cant say much about events that takes place here. as i dont know a lot about this.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible, being a private college the fees are reasonable it was 60k in 2012. As per the terms and conditions of the trust board the fee structures used to be designed. Also mid term fees procedure was there for some poor students. The fees structure can be termed as reasonable.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college used to provide OBC scholarship, EBC scholarships for students by the govt of India. We had a simple procedure just to fill the form and submit it to the college clerk.

Campus Life

3.5

PICT is a private college afffilated to University of Pune. It has excellent infrastructure and professors. It has a small campus but adequate since the number of students is small compared to other engg. colleges. They have three branches only and the focus is on computers, instrumentation, electronics & telecommunications. To prove PICT's track record you just have to look at their alumni. PICT alumni can be found at virtually every major corporation around the world. The staff at PICT really make your work hard to get your basics right and focus on improving your fundamentals and analytical & professional capabilities.

Hostel Facilities

4

College mess food is quite moderate. on rating of 1 to 10 its 5.5. As we know its mess food after all. Cant help with that. But quite good as compared to other mess food. atleast you will not puke after eating this food. Its quite Hygenic though. Atleast you will not suffer from dirrehoe.

Alumni/Alumna

Third person reviews - "Best clg for comp,Entc,it in Pune city.""The college is pretty good but i went there for some event promotion but the teachers and staff are so rude theu are not at all cooperative, students are so nerd that they have no life other than attending lecture there is no play area too!" It's the first college in Pune to introduce Computer Science department. The college campus is very small, but quality of education here is excellent! It is "IIT Dhankawadi"

Exam Structure

I think it is little expensive but comparing to other private colleges it is feasible. The fee structure now is for OBC, SC/ST candidates it is 48k. For OPEN it is almost 86k. Feasible, being a private college the fees are reasonable it was 60k in 2012. As per the terms and conditions of the trust board the fee structures used to be designed. Also mid term fees procedure was there for some poor students. The fees structure can be termed as reasonable.

Faculty

4

Faculty is good. Friendly behaviour. There is strictness in some of them but they always helps students in every way. The earlier years of management was very strict and had bit of attitude which was making student fear about the college teachers and senior staff members. Probably it was to maintain high standards of keeping college on top of the list in the state.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
