Remarks

The admission process was not easy a lot of documentation was required. The eligibility criteria were through cut-offs if you are qualified you can apply to the college. Application forms are available online, there is a minimal fee of 100 or 150rs and applications dates vary every year that can be checked on the official website. I was not from any reservation category. Improvements can be made by providing more help desks and more staff for query solving and by keeping the same rules for all the colleges of Delhi University.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is a good one it provides you an opportunity to study different subjects in a single course as 2 of the subjects changes every semester so there is a lot of diversity and that is one of the reasons I chose this course. The faculty of this particular course is good and mostly accepts a teacher or two who doesn't cooperate with students and understand their issues. Otherwise, the faculty of the college is really great overall and the faculty-student ratio is also okay as 2 teachers are assigned for one subject mostly. For this course, the professors are mostly assistant professors that are assigned and I believe it's a good thing as they are not very old in an age which makes them understand students better. Exams are difficult there's a reason they are called exams. Exams take place after a span of 3 or 4 months starting with internals and then comes the end semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The top recruiters were companies like HCL, Deloitte, ZS associates, and Accenture amongst others. The roles that are offered are Management roles, accounts-related roles, Human Resources, Content writing, etc. The stipend of management jobs are relatively higher than the others like 15lakhs to 25 lakhs but it mainly depends upon individual companies and their priorities.

Placement Experience

3.5

After and during 5th-semester students become eligible for campus placements. The institute witnessed the participation of some well-known companies such as United Airlines, Boston consulting groups, Bain capability network, and DE Shaw. The highest package was 20.5lakh per annum that was offered by DE shaw. The average package that was offered was 5.6 Lakhs per anum. Over 70% of the students are given placements in the Hansraj college. I am going to pursue my master's after my bachelor's degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

I believe the fee of the college is very affordable I don't believe it is hiked it is an amount any middle-class family can afford and again the cost to study depends upon an individual apart from this when it comes to books so the college has an amazing library where you can issue books for free. Still, for the students coming from economically weaker sections, there are fee reduction and scholarship programs in which you can apply and get your fee reduced or fully sponsored. A job that we get on campus totally depends upon the amount of effort that we have put into our studies and all the other knowledgeable sources, the more knowledge we have the more a company will offer us as you stipend. But yes ample opportunities are available if one is looking for a job and money to earn.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest of Hansraj is COUNFLUENCE. They are mostly conducted in the month of February or March. All types of books and journals and daily newspapers are available in the college library and you can issue them for free. Every sport like archery cricket basketball badminton etc is available in the hansraj college there is also a separate sports club apart from this when it comes to extracurricular the college has clubs for everything be it dance, singing, poetry, debating, arts,NGOs, women development, etc. All these groups are led by students and students, some of them are named NISHTHA, GREEN WARRIORS CLUB, WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CELL, etc. So when it comes to extracurriculars Hansraj has the best clubs and the people there are amazing. And the clubs have won many awards and recognitions at different colleges and universities.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
