Remarks
The admission process for the batch of 2021-2022 was done on a merit basis through cut-offs. There were five cut-offs for the course, the last being 96% for the GEN category students. Relaxations were provided as seats were reserved for the socially and educationally backward classes. However, from the coming sessions, it will be taken through the CUCET tests conducted by the NTA. While 27% of seats are reserved for the OBC category, 14% are for SCs, and 7.5% are for STs. Other than these categories, 10% of seats are reserved for EWS category students. PWD category students also have seats reserved for them. Admissions also take place through the sports quota.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course BA PHILOSOPHY HONOURS, designed by the University of Delhi is one of the best curriculums for philosophy in the country. We get to study subjects from Indian philosophy to logic and its applications. The course's basic aim is to inculcate reasoning based on strong arguments, detect invalid reasoning, criticise and analyse what is taken for granted and form an individual opinion on every subject concerning life, humans, the universe, career etc. The faculty is well experienced in their field. Their teaching process and techniques do not make philosophy a boring subject. With constant interactions, discussions and debates, the subject gets more and more interesting to study.

Internship opportunities are provided by various recruiters to college students - both stipend-based and non-stipend based. From content writing to sales and marketing, from handling PR responsibilities to HR roles - the internship fair of the college is very famous for providing such internships at the convenience of the students.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good as Hansraj has had a legacy of top placements in the University, especially in the Commerce and Arts stream. With a 50:50 gender ratio, placements are what you must join this college for. Campus placements are reached throught the Placement cell of the college which is very active in attracting top recruiters of the country.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a government college, the fee structure of the course is very reasonable. Rs 21215 is charged annually for the course which is very very low as compared to private colleges. Further relaxations are provided to students under PWD category. Scholarships and financial assistance are also provided to meritorious students.
Campus Life
Life at Hansraj college is what you have seen in movies and web shows - it is exactly like that. A free campus where you can practice whatever you believe in, with simple rules and conduct. The societies are very active here, always engaged in some or other event, thus providing an exposure uncomparable to any other North Campus college. The Infrastructure stands out as extraordinary. With auditoriums, seminar rooms, Air conditioned classrooms, a gymnasium, a sports complex and a well-equipped library - the college infrastructure does not make you believe it is a government college.
