The entrance exam is there. UP EAST is the name of the exam. And if your JEE or Boards score is good then you can apply directly also. All the information regarding this is available on the official website of the college. The admission process is quite smooth so I don't need any improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course and college because there are many opportunities in this course. Also, specialization is provided for each field. The Faculties are quite knowledgeable and qualified. The exams are not difficult. If you have attended the classes regularly then the exams are for notes or the study material referred to by teachers. There are many faculties for each subject.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are provided to students. The internship duration is two months or less, four to six months, or six months or above. Research internships are also provided. For outbound students call for internships are sent to their college mail ids.

Placement Experience

Students depending upon their skills can go for placements but from the 6-7th semester, they are eligible. The companies which visit for placements are IBM, Wipro, Xebia, Infosys, etc. The highest package is 0 lacs from drops and big data specializations. The college provided 100% placements. The average package is 3-4 lac. People who apply off campus get more packages than on campus. I don't have any fixed plans after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for this course with a hostel in 4 years is 25 lacs (approximately). There are many scholarships provided in this college. For example girl child scholarship this scholarship is for every girl. Also, merit-based scholarships are provided for eligible students. Domicile scholarship is also there for people who are from the same state.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Ragaz and Abuja. There are many student chapters and clubs in UPES. For example photography club, music club, dance, cloud, adventure club, and many more. There are many sports facilities provided, all types of sports are available. All the classrooms are smart classrooms with smart boards.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels provide good quality food in various varieties. All the facilities are provided in the gospel with a washroom, cupboards, and balcony. The registration of the campus hostel can be done through the college portal. The average fee of hostels or PGs per year is 2 lac.

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.
