Remarks

Its enrollment procedure for the academic term began with the publication of the online application form. When I was in, the DU admissions procedure included both merit-based and entrance-based admission. The registration phase was the beginning of the admissions process, and the document verification process was its conclusion. Up until 2021, students may choose between entrance-based admission and merit-based admission. But beginning in 2022, CUET will serve as the basis for admission to all undergraduate programmes at DU. The university provides a BA Programme with a variety of course combinations across several colleges. I believe that the admission process should be more lenient.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very simple & smooth and the faculty members are very helpful and friendly in nature. I choose this course because I want the Discipline subjects with which I want to go further. In Shyam Lal College the student ratio is in favour of girls cause the girls in our college are more than boys ratio and the faculty is very loving. All the faculty members are highly educated and well trained with many years of teaching experience. All colleges of Delhi University follow the same procedure in semester-wise exams which are given by the university itself. If I talking about the individual level, Shyam Lal College, on exam days the faculty is very helpful, solves the queries of students, and gave them rightful advice.

Internships Opportunities

3

The college placement cell offers students internship chances with organisations such as Unnati, hundreds Plus, Prometheus, Viral fission, and others. There is an annual career fair ad internship opportunities for students.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement & Training Cell in our college holds seminars, workshops, training sessions, and any other events it deems essential for the improvement and upgradation of our students in order to prepare them for successful careers. Data and facts: - 1. The median package provided to UG (3 years) students increased by about 16% in comparison to 2020. 2. In 2021, a total of 945 UG (3 years) students graduated, with 411 of them being placed. In addition, 459 students chose to continue their education. Last year (2020), 405 UG (3 years) students were placed. My plan is to go for further studies which is why I am not interested to get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The institution informed its students that they must contribute 500 rupees for a facility/service charge for the university and 900 rupees to the UDF. College students have access to a wide variety of scholarship choices, from full scholarships that pay all of their tuition to partial scholarships that just cover a portion of it. Most scholarships simply pay for tuition, allowing recipients to pay for their own living expenses.

Campus Life

4.5

Nobody can deny that college life at DU offers a wealth of learning opportunities beyond the classroom. There are several ways to benefit from all these options and campus experiences. Participation in clubs and organizations is one of the finest methods to promote personal development. In Shyam Lal College, there are many clubs and more the clubs in the college higher the fests held on campus, therefore in our college annual fests are always conducted by clubs and the college itself. Our college is the ocean of books. There are lakhs of books in our library and college every year raise the funds for the same. Amenities in classrooms are decent but it is adequate to study in the classroom comfortably. In our college number of sports games played and the inter-college tournaments, our college always got many achievements compared to other colleges. Sports such as Hockey, Netball, Baseball, and so on, played in our college Clubs website & SM names: - 1. Udgamslc.com 2. Jharokha

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
