Remarks

The admission process is quite good as you can apply through the entrance exam, merit, and Jee. I got admission through the UPES-SAT entrance exam. The application fee of the form in 2021 was 1500rs. The application is available on the UPES official website. The application form opens between April to August.

If I talk about the faculty, some faculty are brilliant as their way of teaching is very nice, clarifies all the doubts, acts like friends and cooperate with everyone but some of the faculties are not good as they only came to teach and not very friendly. Exams in UPES are quite difficult.

Internships Opportunities

The highest package offered by Microsoft was 50LPA and the lowest was approx 3.5-4LPA by TCS or IBM. Many big recruiters like Microsoft, tomato, TCS, Infosys, Schindler, etc come to UPES. Internships are excellent.

Placement Experience

If I talk about the placements of UPES, it's outstanding as it records 100% placements in 2022. The highest package offered by Microsoft was 50LPA and the lowest was approx 3.5-4LPA by TCS or IBM. Placements are good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Campus Life

The annual fest in UPES is Urjaa. Facilities offered in UPES are quite good, it consists of labs for every specialized subject, a 3-floor Library, etc but the main problem is wifi as its connectivity is very poor. The campus hostel of UPES is pretty decent, there are 5 wings for the boy's hostel and 1 big wing for the girls' hostel. There are many technical chapters and clubs in UPES.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

UPES CSE Program provide the best insights!

No safety nets for getting admission in UPES as university is strict in taking students. UPES Engineering Admission Test also known as UPESAT has to be cleared. UPES is top class!

I applied at GECET of Graphic Era and gave other entrances too. Apart from JEE, I cleared almost all and only one left was that.
