Remarks

Eligibility of the course was 12th pass out with a minimum of 50 per cent coming from any background is acceptable. One can find the Application form on the Delhi university website itself. Many reservation benefits are also available for the people coming from sc st Obc etc backgrounds. The addmission process was quite smooth and easy as everything takes place through online mode so no need to visit college physically now and then

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because in the coming future I want to prepare for journalism and this course provides you with lots of exposure and critical thinking which are the basic needs of journalism. The faculty is really good and cooperative you can find a maximum of sixty students in a class. The basic qualification of the faculty is PhD in the native subjects and their teaching method is really impressive and full of critical analysis. Term exams happen at the end of every semester (5 months) and the level of exam is not much difficult to pass if you had attended the classes.

Placement Experience

The placement cell at Gargi college is really good. They provide you with lots and lots of internship opportunities whether related to the corporate sector or IT sectors. Even I have landed a few internships through the placement cell. My plans after completing this course are to do a master's and further studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is really less as compared to other colleges of Delhi University. Fees are just 12000 to 14000 for the general category and vary for other category students. There are a lot of opportunities one can get through scholarships.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is really impressive and engaging. Everyone is very cooperative either faculty members or even students. Each and every book related to your course is available straight there in the library. The library at Gargi college is really better than any other colleges

Interview Experience

No there is no interview or group discussion one has to undergo to take admission in this course. This is totally merit-based. This only requires your twelfth percentage to take admission in this course

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

Great place to earn knowledge!!

Hindu College was certainly the dream place and score too was enough to get admission there. However, my parents sent me to Delhi with a condition that I can apply only in Ladies college.
