UPES - A College for your Future

The eligibility is 60% in 10+2. I think there should be an interview round and a group discussion round. Overall the admission process is very well. Many specializations are available and the college provides many other streams also.

Computer Science is the hot topic right now and I have a keen interest in mathematics so therefore I chose my specialization as artificial intelligence and machine learning. The faculty: student ratio is about 1:10. Most of the faculties have done their masters from IIT and various other teachers are pursuing their Ph.D. from our college itself. The term exam had a moderate level of difficulty. If you are regular in all the classes then there would be no pressure to pass the exams and score good marks.

There are several companies like Travis, BMC, Optum, and providence that have given internship opportunities to data analysts, and cyber security engineers with a stipend ranging from 25 thousand to 50 thousand.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Before that, there is a mandatory summer internship after the 6th semester which has to be done by every student. Companies start coming in August. Companies like Barclays, optimum, BMC, Travis, IBM, Xebia, Amazon, TCS, and Infosys have visited the college. The highest package was around 50 lakhs and the average package was between 8-9 lakhs. For 6 consecutive years, our college has had a record of 100 percent placement.

The fee hike is almost 20% every year. The cumulative tuition fee of 4 years combined is around 15 lakhs. There is a financial assistant if you can provide a domicile certificate. Also if you have scored a good percentile you will get a scholarship based on your percentile.

There are many fests in the college, namely UURJA which is our annual fest, and AAGAAZ. Recently we celebrated ethnic day and dandiya night. We also celebrated Holi. There is also WOW Wednesday happening every Wednesday. Almost every book is available in the library along with novels. There are projectors, air conditioners, fans, and tube lights along with well-maintained desks and chairs for students. There are two extra small blackboards also. Sports like football, basketball, and volleyball have their teams, and trials also take place for new entries. Games like table tennis, tennis, badminton, and chess are also being played. Groups like a hypervisor, CSA, and CSI are there to help students to interact more and more.
