Remarks
The admission process was completed in online mode due to covid lockdown. Cutoffs based on marks in the 12th standard were declared for each course and category by all the colleges under the university. There were 8 cutoff lists, released at a gap of one week. Students were to see their eligibility and whether or not they cleared the cutoff for a particular course in a college. I took admitted with the OBC quota. The forms for admission, fee submission, and documentation were shared on the university website.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty members are all very well trained. The faculty: student ratio is approx. 1:40. Majority of teachers are Ph.D. holders and have great research experience. Class tests are held at an interval of 15-20 days. There are lots of assignments & presentations as well. Exams are quite good, it's just important to practice and understand things.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are available but in very limited numbers. Most of the students have to search for internships from outer sources. It includes tasks like content writing, pr & media, designing, etc. The stipend offered is very low (approx 3000-4000 ?/internship).
Placement Experience
Placements are available through the placement cell, but not for all the courses. Those who don't get placed, mostly go on for higher studies or preparation for jobs. I plan to go to UPSC after graduation because I am not interested in the corporate sector at all.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are quite higher in comparison to other colleges under the University. But it includes all facilities like library access, sports, society access, etc. The college has an active placement cell that contacts various companies for recruitment. There are workshops and training camps in various fields.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is okay-okay type. There are lots of societies but their functioning is hampered by one factor or the other. Most of the books are available in the library, but a major chunk misses out. Only a few classrooms are equipped with projectors and smart class systems. The annual fest is mostly in April, and it has a whole different aura.
Other Applied Colleges
Kirori Mal College - [KMC] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Geography)
Because I wasn't able not qualify the cutoff marks.
