Remarks
The admission process was smooth. I got my admission through my 12th score and EWS reservation. I applied for my course through the du portal and waited for a reply from the college. As soon as my admission was approved, I paid my fees to get enrolled in the college. For an EWS reservation, one needs an income certificate and an EWS certificate signed by the required authorities. All the documents are thoroughly checked for getting admission into the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am enrolled in BA Programme (Human Development and Family Empowerment + Philosophy). I chose this course because I want to study development studies and psychology for my master's. This combination seemed perfect to me for my further studies. The faculty-student ratio is standard in the college, for example, there are 38 students at 1 teacher in my class. The faculty for both of my subjects is highly qualified and carry years of legacy with them because of their experience. I like the teaching method of my college, it is a well-rounded curriculum. There are numerous field visits in my course where we work on the ground and give our social contribution to society. The exams were conducted on time and it is easy to pass the exam with average studies.
Internships Opportunities
Digital Marketing, Operations Intern, Content Writer, Sales Executive, and Social Media Manager are a few roles that I came across as internships offered by my college. I don't know a lot about the projects run by them.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for my course are minimal. This year there was an increment of rupees 2000 from the side of the college and rupees 3000 from Delhi University which brought it down from rupees 14550 in the first year to rupees 19950 in the second year. These kinds of fee hikes do not occur every year but they occur in the gap of 5-6 years. Financial assistance is provided from the side of the college provided they show their income certificate and required documents. Various internships are provided through Career Opportunity Cell in the college for the students. I have not taken any of these internships due to personal reasons but my friends have taken this advantage and earned 4000-5000 rupees per month as a stipend.
Campus Life
Symphony is the name of the fest that is conducted annually. The library of this college is huge and numerous books, magazines, and newspapers are available there regularly. My favorite part of the college is the library. It is beautiful. Many classrooms are provided with the smart board for better understanding and teaching process. NCC is highly active on campus and has been winning the award of best NCC in DU for 3 years. Numerous other societies are active in the college. Various competitions are held by these societies to enhance the skills of the students. Girl Up Nitara is a social group that is run by the students of the college.
