- The new block classrooms have great infrastructure and environment for studying
- some of the faculty are approachable and considerate regarding marks and attendance
- There is a wide range of startup opportunities provided at every turn and point of college life... And starting a startup has been made too easy here.
Dislikes
- The location of college is far away from the main city and is hard to travel to and from.
- 75% criteria is being checked by a broken SAP portal and the system by itself debars the students
- A lot of faculty has no regard for student requests and needs
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is BTECh CSE AI ML spl. The stream is up and coming in the near future and hence it became my obvious choice... There is a lack of good faculty of AI here at my university and it seems students have to gain knowledge on their own... The faculty is just there as time pass and fails us even when they do not give us quality knowledge.
Placement Experience
The students can sit in placements from 3rd year itself but mostly do in 4th year... The average packages of most branches are not that great and go for 5lack per annum to 8 lahks... However, CSE placements average from 12 lakhs per annum to 15 lakhs and can go up to 50 lakhs. 80 to 90 per cent of students get placed the rest are however removed at the beginning of the process. My plans for after the degree are undecided currently.
Fees and Financial Aid
There was no fee hike in recent years. I got an only-girl child scholarship at the college. Have not gotten a job yet because I am not in my final year. The placement process starts in the 4th year.
Campus Life
The annual fests held this year were Dholida the cultural fest in November and Spandan the sports and cultural fest. The library is completely stocked with all the required resources however the quantity of books for a particular subject is low compared to the students who require it. Sports and extracurricular activities are not given much importance compared to academic competitions like hackathons...
Hostel Facilities
I live in a hostel facility and frankly, it's not at all satisfying....the food has no taste and the owners have no consideration of our complaints... Many times there is no hot water in the tap when needed in the morning and the hostel costs a hell lot of money TBH.
Admission
There was no entrance test... admission was given on basis of the 12th cbse percentage and jee mains percentile. I was given a girl's scholarship which reduces 20% fees per sem. There could be a better admission process.
