Remarks

I can never have a bad remark about Hansraj College because I have learned a lot from here. These were the best 3 years of my life.

Entrance Preview

JEE mains in 2014 VITEEE in 2014 UPES entrance 2014 I took hansraj college because I started growing interest in economics and I wanted to do Economics Hons. And the best option I had was HRC in DU so I took it. My aim has always been to become an IAS officer and that made me become subject oriented from my high school only. I chose economics because it is the best subject to study in today's world and it makes you more practical in nature.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course structure is as good as it can possible be. For those who want to study a particular subject then Delhi University is the right place for them. You get all the knowledge on a subject with the best teaching possible. The course is designed in a very flexible way so that you won't get too bored while studying and our readings are mostly very interesting and contain lot of knowledge on all the major and minor topics of your course.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. Hansraj college's internship cell is a very capable one. Most of the students in my batch are placed and are at a very good place. Some of them did internship too which they got very easily just by being a part of internship cell of hansraj college

Placement Experience

4

Very good job opportunities for those who score well in exam. Students get a placement of as high as 20 lacks per annum. On an average every student gets a job of 6.5 lacks ( those who apple for job ) . Those who work hard here can get the life settled right right right right after the college college college.

College Events

5

College fest- Some big celebrities come on our college fests like Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda and bands like Indian Ocean have performed in our college fest. Society events - all societies make various events throughout the year and that makes the college life even more interesting College events- some art events like theatre, classical music etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee stucture is very good. I paid 14000 per annum in college as fee and nothing more. The fee structure was also as good as it can be. Other than this we have to fill an exam form every semester and pay the exam fee which is around 500-1000. The overall fee structure is very cheap in Hansraj College college Delhi university university university

Fees and Financial Aid

You can take student loan from the Canara bank of Hansraj College and they can help if someone is poor but educated and wants to study in our college. Even the college staff might help in such case if you inquire from the office.

Campus Life

4

The college life has been full of surprises and adventures every new day. The best thing is that as you enter the college you get a different feeling. A feeling that tells you that you belong here.. a feeling like home. We played almost everything in college. Every sport.. the politics of our college is very clean and only those who work hard get a chance by our students to serve as the college student union. Not much mess is created during elections in Delhi University

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel food is amazing! It is better than the hotels and restaurants around the campus. In Hansraj College Hostel you get unlimited food and chicken twice a week! And the fee of hostel is only 45000 per annum! And it includes everything. The canteen also is very good and hygienic

Alumni/Alumna

I have passed this year only so I need a little more time to figure this out. But all my friends are in touch with me and I know they will remain in touch. I have no problem with the seniors as well. I've spoken to a few yesterday.

Exam Structure

Exams are very balanced in difficulty. The paper is neither too easy nor too tough. We all get a very balanced question paper in hansraj college college Delhi University. The paper will test your knowledge as well as your writing skills. Bad writing skills can never fetch good marks in delhi university. We all need to make a good presentation in our answer scripts.

Admission

Initially I was getting admission in Delhi College of Arts and Commerce in the first admission list of DU along with some other colleges. But I did not want to take any risk with the admission so I took admission in Delhi college of arts and commerce and then I waited for more lists to come. It was a very painful period as I was really depressed because the lists were getting closed for B.Com in Sri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu college, St.Stephens and even Hansraj. I did not want to do BCom because i was a Science student, I took Physics, Chemisty, Maths, English and Economics as my subjects in 12th standard out of which I liked Economics the most. My parents wanted me to do B.Tech but I knew that I was done with science by that time. And they let me fill the forms for DU also. And finally I got admission in 4th admission list.

Faculty

5

We had the finest faculty that was approachable. The teachers taught really well. They took tests from time to time to make sure that everyone is going along the course and that everyone is preparing for the final exams. The best part was that our teachers were more focused on giving knowledge ridge than teaching the readings they wanted us to understand understand the topic properly properly.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
