Please focus on your placement process. Its just horrible . Students scores as high as 9.5 but yet they are unable to find a decent placement.

JEE MAINS SCORE : 170 I wanted CSE branch in a good college. At this rank ,I thought this is the best college I can get.

Course is well structured. As I am from computer science engineering branch, I can at least say, course involves every subject , you need to know about the software engineering field. On the top of that you have to prepare two projects in 7th and 8th semester. Subjects: Operating System DBMS Data Structure and Algorithms Computer Networks

NO, Not at all. During my course period students even of the 8th semesters were not allowed to do internship. You have to clear htree papers in 8th semester. This system might have changed this year, i think.

Overall I will say an average placement record. Average salary offered is around 4-5 lpa with highest around 14-15 lpa (Just a few ones). This college depends upon the main campus Mesra for its placement where top ten students are shortlisted to seat in the placement process. Overall not an impressive placement record, given the amount of fee they charge (8-10 lakh)

There is good diversity of event we celebrate in our college. Technical Fest : Technika, held once every year. Annual Athletic Meet: Prakida, held once every year. Cultural Fest: Exurbance, held once every year. Along with the above activities, Inter-branch tournaments are help periodically.

Fee structure is really expensive. It comes among top 10 engineering college in terms of its fee expenditure. During my course of engineering I have to pay around 1 lakh every semester including my tuition fee and hostel charges. Its certainly not worth paying that huge amount of fees, considering the current condition of the college.

There are a few scholarship facility offered by the Bit Patna, GP BIRLA scholarship: Based on the scores of the students in the semester examination, students are offered as high as 100% scholarship on tuition fee.

Campus life is awesome, you will enjoy your college life here, apart from the placement season. Decent gender ratio as compared to other engineering college ( around 4 girls per 10 boys). In terms of diversity it is quite limited, Around 70% of students are from Bihar. They have decent bar in robotics and programming.

Infrastructure is quite improved here. Nice and modern Hostel rooms, which have single occupancy rooms. Rooms are clean and have a hygienic environment. Hostel mess food is also better as compared to other engineering college. You will get a very exhaustive and good menu in the mess.

Fully broken Alumni network. There is no Alumni network at all. But, the main campus (BIT MESRA) has a decent Alumni network

In total there are 8 semesters. Each semester one mid-sem exam and one end-sem exam. mid-sem is of twenty five marks 15 marks depends on internal assessment by your teacher. End sem consist of 60 marks, where you will be given seven problems and you have to solve only five.

I applied through college website. Based on the scores of JEE MAINS , a merit list is prepared and candidates were shortlisted for admission. Once you are shortlisted you have to report in college on mentioned date with proper documents and the required demand draft.

There is mix of teacher with varying qualities. Most of the faculty members are horrible and they are teaching just for the sake of having their salary. They doesn't invoke you about thinking something new. But there are also a few faculty members which were devoted to their work. Overall faculty team sucks at BIT Patna.
