Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well structured and covers all the aspects of educational skills in each branch. I choose the ECE branch as I was interested in Electronics technology. In my branch, there are 10 faculty for 60 students well trained and qualified with a lot of experience. The teaching method is so well structured that each student can get his doubt resolved personally. There are two quizzes, a mid-sem, and an end-sem examination. The quiz was easy whereas mid sema and end sem a little bit tough but not enough so you can score very good marks.
Placement Experience
The college provides on-campus placement opportunities. Students after the 6th semester are eligible for on-campus placement. There are many companies such as Infosys, Microsoft, Genpact, Amdocs, SocGen, Cashfree, Trilogy Innovation, PayPal, etc visiting our campus. The average package is around 11 LPA and the campus's Highest package is 28 LPA and off campus's highest placement is 45 LPA. Every year almost 75% to 80% of students get placed in companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course is a bit high and it increases with every year. But there is a scholarship program named GP Birla scholarship in which students with good marks are provided with scholarships. The college is good at getting campus jobs as it provides on-campus placement facilities. The placement percentage is around 75% of the total students getting placed. The stipend ranges from 4.5 LPA to 45 LPA.
Campus Life
The campus life is good filled with many fest, club activities. In a year two fest takes place, one is the Annual athletic meet(February), and the second on is Prakrida(April). With these two fests, many social activities and fun events were organized by clubs of BIT Patna such as Xodium, Abhivyakti, Espectro, and many more. The college provides a library facility where almost all books related to the course and many other books are available. Every year interbranch sports activity takes place between different branches and many extracurricular activities are organized by the NSS club. A very special club NavUmeed help poor student to study and provide them with basic needs.
Hostel Facilities
In the first year, they provide a single room to two students with hostel fees of 26000 per year, and in the second year, they provide a single room to single students with hostel fees of around 30000 per year. In the hostel, they provide a LAN network and a Mess facility( with mess fees 18000 per semester). In the mess, the food menu is guided by the student committee and it changes after every three months. The hostel and mess facility by Default is registered with the admission process, if anyone is not willing to take the hostel they can do so by talking to the admission department.
Admission
Admission to a college is taken through 10th, 12th, and JEE Mains marks. The application form is present on the college website which is the BIT PATNA website from where you have to fill out the application form and pay the registration fees. The college offers reservations to OBC, SC, ST, and EWS. The usual cut-off for CSE is around AIR 1.5 lakh and for ECE around AIR 2.5 lakh. The admission process is smooth and with every round of the cut-off list, branches slide available based on vacant seats. After the admission and paying the fees the 1st sem fess verification of documents is done. This year 2023 college admission is taken through JOSSA counseling.
