Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very rigorous and mathematical. You need to have a strong grasp of class 11-12 mathematics and economics which for sure will help you. The curriculum has changed a bit starting this year. I'm satisfied with the faculty availed by my college. They are very professional and knowledgeable and never shy away from helping their students.
Internships Opportunities
It depends on the placement cell. They have arranged placement fairs with several companies and are quite active. Students themselves find internship opportunities as well. Overall it's up to the student's Capability to land one.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are minimal albeit it's been increasing every year. I paid 5050 in the first year and 6050 in the second year and will probably pay around 7050 in the third year. The recent announcement of a fee hike has met with strong criticism from the students and the university will hopefully look into it.
Campus Life
The college campus is very small. It has two small open spaces which are used by students to play and the remaining area is covered with buildings. The college is situated just beside a large DDA park which has huge spaces for all kinds of outdoor sports. There are a number of societies and clubs active in the college. Numerous events take place year-round.
Admission
The admission procedure was very simple back when I applied to DU. The university released cutoffs based on the marks obtained in your Class 12 board exams. Different colleges have Different cutoffs with the elite ones usually having very high cutoffs. If your marks are above the cutoff of a certain college, you need to apply for it and pay the admission fee upon which you're admitted to the college. Things have changed now with CUET UG replacing Board exams. The university releases cutoffs based on the cuet scores and the remaining process is very similar.
Other Applied Colleges
St. Xavier's College - [SXC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]
I didn't get admission in BSc.Economics Hons which was my first choice.
