Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is up to the standards. I have choosen this course as I wanted to pursue my career in Software as well as in the Hardware field. The Faculty and student ratio is approximately 1:60. The Faculty in our college are PHD degree holders and their teaching methods are good according to standards. There are 4 continuous assessments that take place in our college every 1 month and at last practicals, viva and Final sem exam at last. If you are a good student and study regularly, you can score good marks.
Internships Opportunities
The internships are provided by the company which comes for placements in our college. Like CTS, mindtree, Infosys, Nomura etc. They give a stipend of 10-30k for 3 months. They give you training and then hands-on for every project you are learning in the internship.
Placement Experience
The placements of my college are good. As from 4th year, you are eligible for Campus placements. The companies visited in our college are Infosys, CTS, Mindtree, Nomura, and P360. The highest package is 10 LPA in College and the lowest package is 4 LPA. There are almost 80-85% of the students got placed in our college. After getting my degree I am ready to join in company from where I got the offer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study is 4 lakh for four years. St. Thomas last year dont take any scholarship tests. They can help with your financial assistance. I have been selected in Mindtree and waiting for the result of the INFOSYS Exam.
Campus Life
Life on Campus is very friendly and exciting. Our campus is ragging and seniors guide juniors for anything. As in our campus you can play several games like Table tennis, It also has a badminton court and a playground as well where you can play Cricket, football etc. As once in a year there will be a tech fest in the month of November. The library is full of every book for your study as well and it has digital access to so many books you can read for free. There is a Facebook Page where students from the Final year become an admin.
Admission
The admission process was smooth and you have to clear the WBJEE exam. Through your JEE Mains, you can be admission in this College. You need to clear the WBJEE Exam. You can register on the WBJEE site and the cost of the application form is 500 for Gen, and 400 for (SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B Candidates) The process is smooth.
