Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen my course in counseling, even I to intrested due to some new innovations that are to be done. Faculty in the college are highly qualified from their perspective fields and they are very much talented and they don't hesitate anyone regarding anything we ask to them they are always ready to help us. Even exams are very tough and it's very complicated for us to overcome through those exams.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 52000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Studying at IIT is not much cost compared to other colleges even though they collect fees they return some of the fees through many ways like scholarships or monthly stipends. Scholarships like NSP and many others.

Campus Life

Our college has the biggest fest called alchiranga which is celebrated for 3 days on campus. Many clubs are there in the college like dance, singing, yoga, photography, and many others. In the library, each and every book is present which is needed by us and they are many books which keep our life consistent and they are very helpful and sports in our college are, we have each and every kind of sport in which we are instructed in we can explore every sport which we are interested in.

Hostel Facilities

I had staying in hostel of IIT Guwahati it has two sharing and it's accomodation is good, with clean and hygiene even the mees which is provided in the hostel is good, even we have sports room, gym room and Library in our hostel where we can show our instrest and move forward.

Hostel Fee: INR 52000 per year

Admission

I had written jee mains and advance to get admission to IIT Guwahati. The college is good and it's all about our all-round development. Each and every kind of facilities are provided to us and If we have any problem it will be sorted out quickly, as soon as we take to their notice. The environment is very peaceful which makes us very calm and quiet. When I came here, in the beginning, I was very shocked by seeing such a good environment which motivates in every kind of aspect. I think it's a good place where we can have unforgettable moments with friends and teachers.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

I chose IIT Guwahati because of a strong IIT brand , excellent placements and comparetively lower fees. Compare to other IIT's it provied good campus expreience and less academic pressure. Compare to other NIT's , private colleges ,IIT Guwahati stands out in every fields. If one coudn't make it too higher IIT's it's because of not elegible after the JEE advanced rank as competition is very intense. Detailed and Unbiased Review

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
